Dear Chandrashekhar,

Sorry for the delay in replying, or at least for the delay in my server's capacity to send my replies!

The chapter is CV Part Two of Brihat Samhita, and is entitled 'Worship of the Stellar Deity'

Of course I am not saying I have any sanction for saying this bodily link between constellation and parts of physiology are to be used with regard to the human body where BS is purely describing deity references for purpose of propitiation, it just seemed an unusual coincidence to notice with regard your own trident mark on the forehead, and this is what lead me to comment.

My point about your Mars being: is it placed between 23:20 and 30 degrees Gemini, so it would have full aspect on this nakshatra's early padas in Virgo?

best wishes

M

Re: saturn/knees

Dear Margaret,

I understand what you mean. Could you point me to the shloka that gives

Forehead to Chitra (or head) in Brihat Samhita? The reason I asked is

that vedic astrology considers rasi to rasi aspect and thus the aspect

of Mars would be on Virgo and not on Libra, so the meaning of full

aspect on Nakshatra is not very clear to me.

Regards,

Chandrashekhar.

Dear Margaret,

My Mars is 25 degrees 40' 58". So it does seem to qualify for full

aspect on the nakshatra. You certainly have something there and this

needs to be investigated more. In rasi chakra Virgo is not related to

head but to the Kukshi (waist/side). Neither the 10th bhava considered

for forehead. The position of my planets makes all the parameter appear

to give marks and that is very peculiar. I think we must find charts

where single planets aspect certain houses and nakshatra before coming

to a definite conclusion. would appreciate your views very much.

Regards,

Chandrashekhar.

Dear Chadrashekhar,

I thought it too much of a coincidence that you had Mars aspecting this asterism and then having the trident mark on the forehead. Interestingly Mars rules Chitra so is aspecting its own asterism.

More research is needed as you say, though I have not used the asterisms regularly for looking at marks on the human body, and would need to collect charts where planets aspect or occupy their own nakshatra to see if it is more than coincidence, and whether such positions reflect marks where the usual kalapurusha rules don't shows such body marks. A simple project to conduct over time perhaps.

best wishes

margaret

Re: saturn/knees Chandrashekhar

Dear Margaret,

I agree that we should also see whether the Nakshatras hold the keys to

marks not indicated by signs or dreshkanas. A project conducted over

time certainly is the right way.

Regards,

Chandrashekhar.
