I just posted what was learnt from Vistis article on Shakti Yoga, which

can be downloaded from www.srigaruda.com (u know his site but this is

for others)

 

1) Pg 7 says on Adolf hitler – Rahu is aspected by the Moon in

Sagi, forming Sakti Yoga . AS jup is aspt by Rahu it caused the end of

many lives (Jup being Jiva –life)

 

2) I hate quoting shlokas but here it is Jaimini Upadesha Sutra

4.1.52-54

 

"Should Moon and Rahu join or aspect each other in the 5th house (or

trines to it from either lagna or AK) the native will assume the nature

of the destroyer of creation

Dear Sunil,

 

Since you only repeated only what is written in Visti's article on

shakti yoga. I do not need to comment on it here.

 

Bu the way, Sanjay has interpreted the sutra as If these (Moon and

Rahu) conjoin/aspect 5th or the 9th house from the lagna, AK, the native

assumes the nature of the destroyer of all creation. There is no

reference to this being called Shakti yoga, neither is there any

reference to Rahu and Moon aspecting each other in 3rd and 9th ( in the

sutras). Actually as Sanjay indicates that sutras from 53 to 56 are

contiguous, it is interesting that sutra 53 refers to sorrow, in

general, experienced by the native and not that given to others.

Actually I think the sutra refers to sorrow on account of or to native's

Mother.

 

Even Sanjay has interpreted "Matari" in sutra 4.1.49 as mother but has

chosen to interpret the same word as 5th house in sutra 4.1.52. The

interpretation of "Matari" as Mother appears appropriate, to me, as rahu

and Moon affliction indicating sorrow on account of mother or to mother

appears to fit in with principles of astrology as propounded by the

venerated sage Parashara.

 

But then Sanjay is a knowledgeable astrologer and must have his own

reasons to interpret the same word in different manner in successive

sutras in his commentary on Upadesha Sutra. You may like to ask him

about this if you meet him. I shall also ask him should we meet.
