Guest guest
||Om Datta Guru|| Dear v Ramans Grandfather is quoted here. Grandfather lost his temper and retorted to Raman "Palaniswamy is an upstart. He only knows how to quote slokas but not how to apply them. We have to go by experience. An ounce of experience is worth ten tons of theory" v I met an astrologer in the north who would keep on quoting slokas for everything. My meeting lasted 10 hrs and was very impressed with him though I kept on repeating him the danger of reliance on slokas. I had a grave question bothering me, he cast chart and explained the chart to me beautifully giving wonderful predictions of how I would get the job that was being discussed & go abroad, live in a beautiful house, he described the house, the boss, the girl I would meet there etc etc. I was most impressed by how he taught me how to see the prashna chart and felt equipped with Stinger missles in prashna analysis. His prediction failed miserably but that's not the question at hand, the question at hand is I asked him interpretation of a word in Sanskrit, he took 5 seconds (too long) & asked me what is the verse and from which book, when I quoted he said the interpretation I had was correct but why need the full verse, what about the Shaddarth that KNR speaks about , this man couldn't do it. When he took 5 secs for a word I knew he doesn't know sanskrit since if one sits at Patels feet every day one realises what is Sanskrit n what is not. v Then the story of a Guru from WEST to india (not europe nor america) who wanted me to part with my Guru Nadi & Bhrigu Nadi so that she could translate it into english. I was shocked, I asked her when did she learn sanskrit, she said 1 yr back, her student was also insisting me to part with the nadis. I first sent her 5 scanned copy of Nakshatra Chudamani she couldn't translate it & gave smartish answers like ohhh this is wonderful , rare knowledge, send me all. Today this Guru professes to be expert in Sanskrit, then how come this Guru was recently seeking help to in some translation openly Unfortunately internet lists are only about theory theory theory, scholarly debate & no group research to test shlokas statistically. Most of these lists are "You scratch my back I scratch urs & yours" - a drama we in astro community are good at (including me) but to be honest we learn zero astrology. The real astrology who knows will never speak about it whereas we only speak and with that knowledge often play with peoples lives n emotions with our half baked knowledge. Enough, these mails are consuming lot of time Regards, Sunil John
Guest guest
||Om Datta Guru|| Dear Prafulla, Yes I am aware of it & hence wrote that the real hardcore astrology is still with the village pundits. A man in bombay uses only Position of Rahu to determine the marriage year. My friend served him for 3 months but couldn't get it out but saw him just ask the position of Rahu without seeing horoscope and predict spectacularly. I was told that Few famous writers from Maharashtra came to him & asked him to reveal it to them so that they could write in books, he had a quick reply that it is better he writes a book why should they write about his technique. I hope quickly he writes this book. I asked few scholars if they have heard of this sloka to determine Marriage year by Rahu, they said such a thing doesn't exist & the pandit is a fraud. Incidentally the pandit has generations of blood doing astrology so can't dismiss him in an instant. Guest guest
Dear Sunil / Manoj Deva Kerelam uses rahu's transit. While explaining Saturn's transit in D9, for assessing timing of death of grandparents -It is mentioned that same can be inferred through Rahu. regards / Prafulla Gang The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will. > > suniljohn_2002 > Fri, 01 Sep 2006 09:49:28 -0000 > > Deva Kerelam/Manoj > > > ||Om Datta Guru|| > > > > Dear Manoj, > > Namaste > > thanks for this mail.
