Guest guest
Dear Balabadra Prabhu, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! Here is my promised response to you. > > This is Krsna consciousness. The puzzle has been realised and written > > down by Krsna in His various incarnations and by His pure hearted > > servants. We have to sit at Thier lotus feet and execute. Simple. The > > brahmanas hold the key of success or failure in this regard. > > I just have a question on your last statement;...."The brahmanas hold the > key of success or failure in this regard." > > In the purport to the verse I quoted 8:24:5 Srila Prabhupada > says.........."Similarily,He showed respect to Sudama Vipra, a real > Brahmana." > > Why did Srila Prabhupada have to point out that Sudama Vipra was a real > Brahmana? > > Was it to warn us not to be tricked into following persons who were posing > as Brahmanas but who were not qualified?? yes indeed. This is the constant shortcoming in the history of mankind. The so called spiritual leadership becomes poluted through unqualified brahmanas They corrupt the pure process of spirituality. The qualities needed to deem one qualified as a real brahmana are clearly given to us by Srila Prabhupada in his teachings and shown to us factually by his personal example. Prabhupada's mission was clearly to establish a vaisnava brahmancial society so that they could offer proper spiritual leadership to a misguided world. But Iskcon has become bogged down with decades of history of people in the position of leadership being big controllers and practically most of the simple souls who were more fitted to be trained to become the real qualified vaisnava brahmanas have been practically discouraged, and many a time downright rejected from our society. So I would say the first thing that we have to do is come to the clear philosophical realization that there can not be any ultimate successful KC society developed if it is not guided by qualified vaisnava brahmanas. They are the leaders, not the administrators. The administrators are the servants of the qualified vaisnava brahmanas. And the real vaisnava brahmana's are the servants of Krsna and everyone of His parts and parcels. Everyone is a servant. Important point!! Until we from the level of Leadership have worked out a practically working model of renounced, detached brahmana's intereacting properly with the administators, I see no way out of the pot of games that we have fallen into. of course there is so much to say on this subject, and it has been expressed by many far more qualified devotees than I. But until the devotees in the position of power take a real hard look at themselves and the condition of of our society, the wealth of shelter and guidence that brahmanical culture has to offer will remain hidden in the pages of the Bhagavatam, and Prabhupada's mission will not unfold as he envisioned. > I spent 10 months with Jayananda prabhu in the early 70's. I will never > forget Jayananda and the qualities he exhibited . I feel very priviledged > to have had his association areal contemporary Brahman. All glories to Jayananda and all the other real contemporary vaisnava brahmanas. your servant Visnu Murti as
