Guest guest
ADU PEASINA KATHAI Adu Azhathathu yEAn? What did Adu (goat) told? adu peasina kathai is a wonderful example how much quick witted our AchAryas were and how much was there sulabhyams. Once a goat was lost in the forest, which accidentally found itself in front of a lion, where there is no escape. Too late to run. So it decided to stay still, and wait for it destiny, afraid in the mind it stayed calm like a conqueror. Looking at the serenity of the goat, the lion got afraid by mind, becoz it expected the goat to run and make a catch like that. Instead it is sitting there and looking at me, there is something behind. It went closer, and saw the goat is having something hanging from its jaws. It is called aja gaLa sthanam which virtually has no use. But the poor lion never saw it before, and asked the goad, Hello mr, what is this hanging from yur head. Then the goat replied, I am having a deeksha (vow) to eat 100 lions, and till yesterday I finished 99, and was thinking, where is the next look at the mercy of the lord, here comes the 100th one right in front of me. Hearing this the lion itself run away without thinking that, the to poor goat was just bluffing. This was the key, nanjiyer explaind to nampillai that, bhattar told him this story, during the kalakshEpam on this context, Look even no one in rAvaNan goshTi, who could speak with the courage of atleast this goat, telling rAvaNa I will win for you. we have to dance not only in front of thirumangai AzhvArs brilliance for bringing such a rare aspect of poetry, we shoud also dance in front of our AchAryAs for their ways of explaining this to us. “thadam pongatham pongOA” AdiyEn rAmAnuja dAsan Sreekanth Get on board.
