Guest guest
Posted by Yaduraja on Sep 06, 2006: Dear Ramakanta Prabhu, PAMHO. AGTSP! You write: > So please quote my statement where I allegedly presented a non-existent > counter evidence, or stop writing such things. If you agree that there is no evidence of an order that counters the status quo you already agree Srila Prabhupada established within ISKCON then the debate is over. You cannot stop the status quo on the basis of hypothetical orders that no-one, including yourself, myself or the GBC, knows anything about. Clearly you must believe such evidence exists otherwise you would be part of the IRM. Unless you base your position not on evidence, but speculation. > I am discussing your point b) which is equivalent to... If that is really true, that you want to discuss my point b), then best to stick with point b) as I expressed it, rather than trying to keep jumping ahead to what you say is 'equivalent' since you keep getting confused. The reason I say this is because you have not challenged the following facts... 1)Srila Prabhupada left the GBC to manage ISKCON strictly in accordance with a pre-ordained system of management that they were not authorised to change. 2)Srila Prabhupada left in place a system of initiation whereby he was the sole diksa guru for the institution. ....but instead you keep repeating the same irrelevant point: > As I already wrote, you forgot following assumption: > > 3) Srila Prabhupada never authorized anyone to be a diksa guru in ISKCON. Our ‘assumption’ is only that we must follow the orders Srila Prabhupada gave to the GBC on how initiation was to go on. You refuse to tell us what your over-all position is, but if you are suggesting that Srila Prabhupada would: a) Order the GBC to follow an initiation system in which he is the sole diksa guru for ISKCON (which is precisely what he did). And at the same time: b) order, in some clandestine manner which no-one knows anything about, a disciple or disciples to succeed him within ISKCON as the next current link initiators. Then he would be setting up a situation where the hypothetical successors would be at war with the very same management system he himself left in place. Is this what you are suggesting? I think this is the crux of the issue, and the cause of your deep confusion over this issue. I also think Aristotle would be turning in his grave at your constant misapplication of logical principles. Best wishes Ys Yadu
