Namaste dear all,

The recent discussion threads on grief; I have taken

the liberty to give it a topic-name.

Shree Sunder Ji wrote -

In those moments of utter grief (grief-as we

understand), Draupadi says to the people who

imprisoned Aswathama to let him go free.

It is because, apart from relating to possible

grief which Acharya Drona's widow would undergo

if Aswathama were to be punished, Draupadi says that

it is the dharma.

Thus, dharma is the only rescuer in grief as much as

in all daily life. Thru dharma alone, one gets the

necessary strength to survive grief and to at all act.

In moments of utter grief, naturally

the question comes, 'Why did God cause this?'

By saying so, we are assuming that God did the act

that caused us grief. We have to ask a question to

ourselves as to 'is this a fair accusation ? '

On the other hand, in such moments of despair and

sadness, it is God alone who will hold our hand, if

only we ask.

We ask God thru dharma and

we ask thru kindness in dharma.

Asking thru dharma - the gIta way in losing

ourselves to the will of God.

Here is a list of some opposites:-

Long x Short

Fast x Slow

etc

In the same way, the opposite of 'death' is 'life'.

The answer to 'death', therefore, lies in 'life'.

Thru our scriptural knowledge put into daily life,

we would also endeavor to light the faces of our

family members thru smiles and peace,

by living 'I live not for me but for them who need

me'.

Therefore we say 'life' is the opposite of 'death'.

In 'life' and in prayers and in goodwill, the departed

souls would also receive 'life' and strength sent

through positive thoughts.

For any errors or mistakes, I beg your kind pardon.

Kind regards,

Raghava
