Guest guest
I¹m just curious why this list, once quite busy, has been so silent for so long. I mean, there used to be a lot of people talking, posting, regularly, now it¹s just a few of us, now and then. I¹m talking long term, not the last weeks; It¹s been silent in my mind for over a year. Simultaneously, my business has gone way down, and I hear, other Jyotish softwares as well. Has the whole Jyotish thing, the whole Jyotish arena, market, what have you, gone down quite a bit? What about the interest in meditation...has the Maharishi organization experienced a drop? Has the Iraq war, the Muslim fanatic attacks worldwide, the economies, all of this world news stuff...dampened the world taste for the good things in life? Or, have I just ruined the list with my personal style? I was thinking of posting some anagrams of my names (the letters re-arranged to form very telling phrases about who the person is)- very funny and revealing...would that be just more of my possibly bad personal writing style that is ruining the list....I mean...is that it? Is it because I¹m no longer into major religions? How come so few of you ever write? Guest guest
Gee, what an impressive posting! I, for one, have only discovered this group, and so far I am very impressed. I particularly like the open style that you display. Even this posting is so amazing in its downright human quality. I can't answer your question but I love this group. I actually like that it is not afire with tons of postings. There are only two areas that I can talk about. TM, for one. Way too expensive these days so I have to explore other alternative ways to expand my practice. My core is TM, but I can't afford to do more TM stuff. Jyotish? Well, I am rather put off by its stress of doom and gloom, and again it costs too much. And it's loaded with expensive propitiations. Yuck on that! I am delighted by your idea of studying jyotish in and of itself.. But I am not sure how to go about that. I wish there were more information about the dasa periods and how best to use the strenghts of them, to be in tune with them, rather than a stress on how they are gonna eat you alive. Thank you, Karen Das Goravani <das (AT) goravani (DOT) com> wrote: I¹m just curious why this list, once quite busy, has been so silent for so long.
