Guest guest
Dear Visti, Pranam. I have not been initiated into the Gayatri but I've been reciting it using a Rakta-Chandan Mala. I am omitting the Om Bhu Bhuvah Svaha as recommended in the MP3 at Jaimini SJC. Should the recitation be discontinued in view of the fact that I have not been initiated? Will a Shiva Mantra be useful in this case? 11th June, 1972;10:17:56AM; Cuttack, Orissa? Just generally, apart from the Panchakshari and Prasiddha Mantra, are the Mantra prescribed being judged according to the various parameters like the Rna Dhana Chakra as given in Sanjay Ji's Vedic Remedies in Astrology? I have been wanting to strengthen the Sun in my chart with Mantra and I would be grateful if you could help me with this aspect in my chart. Best Wishes, Anurag. http://www.planetarytransformation.blogspot.com
Guest guest
||Hare Rama Krsna|| Dear Anurag, Namaskar Yes, you can always do the Savitur Gayatri as given in the Rg Veda. Yes, if the mantra is not prasiddha we must check the chakras. To make it easier on myself i only give prasiddha mantras. You should definitely do a mantra for that Jupiter in the fifth house. Most people choose Sadashiva for it. But for your Sun i would recommend the mantras for Amavasya Dosha. Guest guest
Dear Visti, Thank you. Would you know the full Mantras for the Sun and the Moon regarding the Amavasya Dosha? I have simply been worshipping them with 'Savita' and 'Aapyayasva' as I do not have the full Mantra. Both the GC Sharma translation of BPHS and Sanjay Ji's VRA give these two words only. Even the chanting of these two words for the luminaries with the other ritual, like the Kalasha with Ganga Jal, Pancha Pallava has given a lot of relief. I am doing the Gayatri and the Rama Taraka Mantra with a Tulsi Mala for the Matri Shrapa etc in the 10th House. I used to be confused about my proximity to 'formless'/ Nirguna contemplation till I realised that was what Guru in the 5th stood for. Which Mantra for Sadashiva would be appropriate? It's a different issue but I am also fasting on Thursdays as the UL is ruled by Guru and meditating on Devi Tara for that purpose. Guest guest
Dear Visti, Thank you for the Sadashiva Mantra. Can the Rudraksha Mala be used for this? Please let me have the Mantra that you have for the Moon involved in Amavasya Dosha. At least I can start with the full Aapyayasva Mantra till then. When you thought of a Mantra for my Guru in the 5th House, what were the possible areas that would benefit from the practice? Thank you for the valuable information. Tomorrow it is Guruvar and I can start with the Mantra tomorrow itself. Guest guest
namassarvebhyaH Dear Visti, 'sarve samudra' is probably referring to the samudra-suktam (also known as the samudra-jyeshtha suktam). I have not learnt it, but will try and dig up the reference for you. apohistha is referring to the first 3 mantras of the sukta that you have typed in your document. If you are interested, I will type up the amavasya-shanti instructions I have (naradokta) in bits and pieces and send it to you. Then we can work on adding the suktas / translations etc with the relevant subject experts. However, even in the case of this simple shanti, there are many more suktas that have to be recited. ajit On 9/6/06, Visti Larsen <visti (AT) srigaruda (DOT) com> wrote: > > *||Hare Rama Krsna||* > Dear Ajit, Namaskar > I don't have anything other than BPHS as my reference. Guest guest
Dear Visti, Yes, it is quite true. Though Guru has given a lot of blessings due to its strong placement, the retrogression has really made for strong effort (Cheshta Bala). It is also the UL Lord as well as the 7th Lord from Shukra and has delayed marriage.Exactly as you have pointed out, its retrogression has tied in with the delay caused by Saturn in Shani-Chandra Yoga in 10th House (34-36 years of age for fructification of cherished desire). But more specifically and exactly,"plans and future prospects" have been delayed due to the retrogression. It is very true. I have started the Mantra "Om Bhur Bhuvah Svaha Saambasadaashivaaya Namah" today using a Rudraksha Mala as today is Guruvar. I think this Guru also influences the 2nd from UL in a like manner and so the Mantra shall address that too. Freedom Cole had pointed this out regarding the placement from the Arudha. Thank you very much for the valuable suggestion and I am sure it has very auspicious implications. Guest guest
Dear Visti, Yes, I will do that. Sanjay Ji has pointed out the need to meditate on the Devi form associated with the Graha lording UL for male charts. Perhaps I can also recite Taaraaye Namah on Guruvar for the UL and the 7th Lordship from Shukra. While my chart and Mantra are being discussed one final and important query. From your MP3 at Jaimini SJC, I have found from the Devata Chakra that Devi Sarawsati should also be worshipped for the Dosha and Shrapa in the 10th House. Please let me have a Prasiddha Mantra for Saraswati and the specific Mala which is to be used. I am wearing a Zircon for the 10th Lord and Shubhpati Venus in its Vimshottari Antardasha so that might mitigate the Dosha and Shrapa. It's in the left hand (functional malefic) but I think the Saraswati Mantra will round up the needed remedies for this chart. Thank you very much for the guidance and instruction. The prasiddha Sadashiva mantra is: Om bhurbhuvaH svaH sambasadaashivaaya namaH| Best wishes, *** Visti Larsen For services and articles visit: <http://srigaruda.com/> http://srigaruda.com *** _____ @ <> [ <> ] On Behalf Of Anurag Sharma 05 September 2006 21:43 @ <> Re: [Om Krishna Guru] Visti: Gayatri & Mantra Dear Visti, Thank you. Guest guest
Dear Mike, The basic prototype of all shanti karmas is to worship the deity in a kumbha and agni with appropriate mantras and offerings. This is followed by giving gifts and feeding brahmanas. So yes, there are shanti karmas for birth in every weekday, tithi, nakshatra etc. For krishna chaturdashi, the devata is kaliH (shiva). The text shanti-kamalakara (i only took a quick look) lists a shanti procedure specifically for birth in K14. The main mantra is the mrityunjaya mantra. In addition to the kumbha puja & offerings in agni, abhisheka is also prescribed here (not surprising since shiva is abhisheka-priya). ajit On 9/6/06, Michael Travass <michael.travass (AT) btinternet (DOT) com> wrote: > > Dear Visti, > > Similar to this is there any specific puja for persons born in Krishna > Chaturdasshi. > > Regards, > > Mike > > >
Guest guest
|om| Dear Anurag, namaste Sorry for the delay in replying...I had wanted to take a look at your chart to see if your explanation makes sense to me. I do not readily to the theory that if the 7th lord from Shukra in the rasi chart is retrograde, it delays the arrival of the spouse but then again, I would be the first to admit that I dont understand the phenomenon of retrogradation fully despite having expended considerable energy on this topic. If you recollect, Sri Ramadas and I had some excellent exchanges on this topic in the Varahamihira archives. By virtue of conjunction, Sani as the 7th lord is involved in the amavasya dosha and that is doubtless, one cause for the delay in your marriage. Just about two months back, I saw one chart with amavasya dosha involving the 4th, 7th and 10th lords...all these respective areas (education, marriage & career) were impacted seriously. I have conveyed Maharishi Parasara's advice to him and it remains to be seen if Dame Luck favors him. The late Sri Purushothaman had very strong opinions about retrograde Venus; he told me that such people often face problems in their relationships/marriage and added that in his experience, such natives often got married to people who also had retrograde Venus. I have found this to be mostly true. Now you know that Venus is retrograde for a small period of time in a year and therefore you may appreciate the true import of this observation. Like me, in the navamsa, you also have this curious placement of Ma-Me along the 1/7 axis. I do not know if this is a sage observation. The dog barks rather loudly near the window where I am typing this email. Dog = Saturn, barking = Mercury. Mercury is the DK in your chart (like mine) and the differences are Mars as AmK (AK in mine) plus Me-Ma instead along 1/7 axis. Venus is in the 8th house of navamsa chart and thus marriage is more likely after 32 years of age. In another 3 days, you will run the antardasa of Moon in this Guru naisargika dasa. A quick, unconventional marriage is likely during this period. Let us hope that the upcoming transit of Guru in Vrischika rasi favors you with the lady of your life. I took a quick prasna to confirm this conclusion and the observations are most interesting: Saturn/Mercury in the 7th house from Navamsa lagna, which is Simha rasi. Evidently the nimitta points to something subtle. Mo/Ju in 1/7 axis of rasi chart, forming an excellent gajakesari yoga but I do not like the presence of upagrahas in lagna. Retrograde Jupiter: no comments for now. I would advise however that the concepts of retrogradation and maranakarakasthana need some medidating upon. best regards Hari Prasna details: Untitled Natal Chart September 11, 2006 Time: 20:59:32 Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT) Place: 77 E 12' 00", 24 N 27' 00" Raghogarh, India Altitude: 0.00 meters Lunar Yr-Mo: Vyaya - Bhadrapada Tithi: Krishna Panchami (Ju) (50.56% left) Vedic Weekday: Monday (Mo) Nakshatra: Bharani (Ve) (59.41% left) Yoga: Vyaghata (Ve) (73.33% left) Karana: Kaulava (Ma) (1.11% left) Hora Lord: Moon (5 min sign: Ta) Mahakala Hora: Moon (5 min sign: Aq) Kaala Lord: Mercury (Mahakala: Mercury) On 9/7/06, Anurag Sharma <anuraagsharma27 (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote: > > Dear Hari, > Pranaam. > > The retrogression of Guru delays marriage. Guest guest
Dear Hari, Pranaam. Thank you for looking at my chart. I would agree with you about the involvement of Saturn, the 7th Lord involved in the Amavasya Dosha. It would certainly tend to delay marriage. Why do you characeterise the marriage as being 'quick and unconventional'? Is the quickness due to the nature of the Moon AD in the Naisargika Dasha? And is the deviation from convention a function of the retrogression of Guru? I like to understand the reasoning so that the thoughts stay in the mind for future reference. Well, I am fasting on Guruvar and Guru will aspect the 2nd from UL from Vrishchika, so let's see. The Prashna is interesting, like you say. But as Shani and Budh are not welcome in the 7th, I wonder. Please elaborate on the aspect of subtlety of the Nimitta if you can. Very grateful for your time and inputs.
