Are both the following sentences correct, or is the use of the adjective

"luxuriant" in the first better placed as an adverb, "luxuriantly," in the

second?

 

"...as it grows luxuriant under the sun of pure devotion."

 

or

 

"...as it grows luxuriantly under the sun of pure devotion."
