We are really something eh! We amazed ourselves sometimes. [smiles]

No Lulu, We insist that you stay....you complete us. We have members

from almost all the continent except from China. All I can say is :

The Dragon have join The Tiger. Could you believe it, only last year

during Navarathri, we talk abt Durga and The dragon. And we all

agreed that one day it will eventually happen. Durga will stand

alongside The Dragon and it will bring chills down Bush Spine or it

his throat? Does he have any, in the first place!

Well as you can see, I still pay attention to the postings here in

the group. I thought I read in severals of your messages and you

mention abt The Door. I remember reading the book I mentioned

before : The Beak of The Finch. Its abt 2 scientists doing a

research on the Theory of Evolution in the Galapagos Island. One day

this particular scientist, was hiding behind a rock observing a

flock of birds with the same feathers. In the midst of the

observation, he realise there's two birds standing on the other side

of the rock, pecking at his head. He tried to frighten these two

birds away but it didnt work. The whole commotion got the attention

of the flock of birds under observation, they flew away and was

never seen again. The scientist was soooo mad at the two birds.

We felt guilty actually [ DB and Me ], consoling ourselves : we must

have really spoilt Lulu's study and she is having a hard time. She

have move from The Mirror to The Door.

Anyway since we are in the subject of the mirror, I just have to

share this with all, just for the record. Just in case, you never

know anything can happen, at least somebody will say one day : hey!

I remember Nora post abt this in SS group. Its a conversation we had

abt this mirror issue.

NM : I'm told in kerala in certain parts of they worshipped devi in

a form of mirror or used for Devi worship

BN : yes Devi is depicted as mirror in some temples

NM: What kind of mirror do they put? and why a mirror?

BN : Because that's a formless form. Not glass mirror. It is called

a "mirror" that's all. A different kind of glass

NM : Glazing metal ?

BN: No normally granite or brass. No glaze at all It cannot be used

as a mirror to se image

AM : They are made of metal polished to perfection

DB: yes! that's what i'd heard of!

AM: even every auspicious event is accompanied by a lamp and this

ashtamangalyam (8 auspicious articles) of which one is a mirror. 64

upacharas include one mirror too.

YOu see Lulu if not for your obsession with Mirrors, these will

never be revealed. We should thank you for this.

Dear and all,

I, the stars and the sky, I, the time and space, I, the ants, the trees, the machines, the computer and robots, I, the human beings, and I, the streets they walk upon ...

All these things I am, All these things are me, my Self.

And this insight is my very own and personal insight. This treasure is my personal treasure. It belongs to no other than me and My body, it is not the skies insight, it is not the ants insight, and it is not your insight, it is Mine, it belongs to Me and no creature other than Me does own this treasure.

The sky does not own this treasure, The ants do not own this insight and you do not have this insight. This insight is something the sky can never have, because it requires a body, a mind and two eyes to have this insight. This insight is something you can not have because it requires My body, My mind and My eyes to have this insight. And as long you do not identify Your Body with My Body, your Mind with my Mind and your Eyes with my Eyes, you will never have this insight.

So relax, this insight is something you never have, but you're not alone, the sky, and the world, the ants and bees, the trees and rocks, the computers and machines have never had this insight either.

But, All these things, the sky, the birds, the ants, the robots and machines, the money and gold, the water and blood am I.

And because all these things are my Real Self, I, yes I want them to know, that they are my Real Self, and I want some of these things to have my insight as well.

Not because I'm a kind and loving person who likes to share my money, but because I want my treasure to remain in this world forever.

I want the sky to know that I am the sky, I want to birds to know that I am the birds, I want the ants to know that I am the ants, and I want you to know that I am your blood, your water, your money and gold, that I am your thoughts and your mind, that I am what makes your eyes read along this letters, that I am your consciousness, that I am your awareness, that I am listening with your ears and speaking with your mouth, that I am that which denies, and that which accepts, that I am your Conscious Self.

You think you know nothing and are so convinced to know that you can't remember the time before that knowing.

1. I travel with the Rudras and the Vasus, with the Adityas and

All-Gods I wander. I hold aloft both Varuna and Mitra, Indra and Agni,

and the Pair of Asvins.

2 I cherish and sustain high-swelling Soma, and Tvastar I support,

Pusan, and Bhaga. I load with wealth the zealous sacrificer who pours

the juice and offers his oblation

3 I am the Queen, the gatherer-up of treasures, most thoughtful, first

of those who merit worship. Thus Gods have stablished me in many

places with many homes to enter and abide in.

4 Through me alone all eat the food that feeds them,-each man who

sees, brewhes, hears the word outspoken. They know it now, that yet

I dwell inside them. Hear, one and all, the truth as I declare it.

5 I, verily, myself announce and utter the word that Gods and men

alike shall welcome. I make the man I love exceeding mighty, make him

a sage, a Rsi, and a Brahman.

6 I bend the bow for Rudra that his arrow may strike and slay the

hater of devotion. I rouse and order battle for the people, and I have

penetrated Earth and Heaven.

7 On the world's summit I bring forth the Father: my home is in the

waters, in the ocean. Thence I extend o'er all existing creatures, and

touch even yonder heaven with my forehead.

8 I breathe a strong breath like the wind and tempest, the while I

hold together all existence. Beyond this wide earth and beyond the

heavens I have become so mighty in my grandeur.

I missed Lulu's earlier posts on mirrors, but the mirror as a

revelatory sacred instrument turns up in many parts of Asia, also at

times in Europe:

Ancient Bactrian images of priestesses holding mirror facing outward,

mirrors buried with central Asian priestesses, along with other

sacred items, and Tibetan female mystics who use mirrors to initiate

seekers into the true nature of the Self. And not to leave out the

circular bronze mirrors of ancient China, often with Xi Wang Mu,

goddess of the West, shamanic animals, and other sacred symbols, or

the mirror of Amaterasu Omikami, the great Devi of Japan.

Please refer to your message regarding Devi worship in kerala as a mirror.

There is a place in kerala called Aranmulla where such mirrors are made even today.

Actually it is a metal polished to reflect like a mirror. The details are as under:

"Aranmula a small village in KERALA is renowned for making a wonderful type of Metal Mirror called 'Aranmula Kannadi'. This unique metal mirror of Aranmula, reflects a rich cultural as well as metallurgical heritage of a golden past in the history of Kerala. The British Museum in London keeps an eighteen inch tall Aranmula Metal Mirror, which speaks of its uniqueness. The origin of the metal mirrors of Aranmula is closely laced with the Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple. The legend has it that eight families of experts in temple arts and crafts were brought by the royal chief to Aranmula from Tirunelveli district in connection with certain works in the Parthasarathy temple centuries ago. There are only a few families in the world who practice the art of making Metal Mirrors. Some undisclosed metals are alloyed with copper and tin to cast the Metal Mirror. The polishing can go on for one to two days so as to achieve highly reflective surfaces."
