Guest guest
Dear Smt. Padmaja, I think you have already covered two great works (V, Sahasranamam and V. Suprabhatam). Of course the number of shlokams to learn are quite vast and nearly endless. In the interest of priority/time, it is better to study what the Lord has spoken himself (word of god) - rest are details. I personally would suggest Bhagavadgita (700 shlokas). If you study/leran one shloka per day, you will be done in 2 years. I have initiated compiling Gita work book with one shloka per page. I just completed first 2 chapters. Because you already have taught V. sahasranamam, it would make Gita lot simpler to learn. V. Sahasranamam is a template to master any Sanskrit work, especially Gita- because much of Gita is also in the same poetic meter as VS (anuSHTub). Attached are the files if you like to use. Of course there are dozens of Gitas published, but you will see some unique features in this study guide. This study guide will also have audio. For now just texts attached. I hope to complete the rest of the verses by next Summer (I do 2 verses per day- take sabout 1 hour per verse!). If you like I can send the files seperately. dAsan K.S. tAtAchAr padmajakrishna2001 Sun, 10 Sep 2006 10:01 PM learning slokams Sri: Respected sirs, I am from Brisbane, Australia.
