Pretty daunting for a seventeen year-old. Getting through to the last 16 for the Miss World Grand Final on 30th September depends on the public voting - and that's where we need your help. Would you place your vote for Sarah? Please vote for Sarah for Miss World by text from a mobile phone All you have to do is to text Sarah's voting number MW222 to 83088 for those of you voting from the UK For those elsewhere, please check the appropriate number on the Miss World website _http://missworldvote.client.ninesystems.com/novote.php_ (http://missworldvote.client.ninesystems.com/novote.php) To see more about the Miss World competition and Sarah's role as Miss Wales, you may also wish to visit these weblinks:- _http://www.misswales.co.uk/_ (http://www.misswales.co.uk/) _http://www.missworld.com/_ (http://www.missworld.com/) _http://www.missworld.com/bio/bio.sps?iBiographyID=92200_ (http://www.missworld.com/bio/bio.sps?iBiographyID=92200) Thanks for your help With best wishes Yours Akhandadhi das ------- End of Forwarded Message ------
Guest guest
I apologise if anyone was offended by the above recent posting. In short, a devotee girl has just become Miss Wales and can now therefore potentially become Miss World. Initially I considered that this would actually directly or indirectly be positive publicity for ISKCON. However, upon reflection it may have been an unwise posting because the ethics of the Miss World contest is questionable in some circles, including of course within ISKCON. (Although I understand the contest is not just about physical beauty: it takes into consideration the personal life, charity work etc of the contestants.)
