Guest guest
Thank you, here's a link I just got, http://www.alexgrey.com/ I followed the path paintings, to sacred mirrors http://www.cosm.org/index.html than listened to the artist prayer under archives, inspiring. I missed Lulu's earlier posts on mirrors, but the mirror as a revelatory sacred instrument turns up in many parts of Asia, also at times in Europe: Ancient Bactrian images of priestesses holding mirror facing outward, mirrors buried with central Asian priestesses, along with other sacred items, and Tibetan female mystics who use mirrors to initiate seekers into the true nature of the Self. And not to leave out the circular bronze mirrors of ancient China, often with Xi Wang Mu, goddess of the West, shamanic animals, and other sacred symbols, or the mirror of Amaterasu Omikami, the great Devi of Japan.
