Om Sri Matre Namaha

Heartiest Pranams to All,

Well, can anybody here please do give me some information about "Sitla

Devi"... or if possible post me a picture of that Devi as I don't

really know who she is and wish to know more about her.

I really wish and pray that soon I will get a response on your behalf,

which can lighten up enquiry.

Taking your leave.

I meditate on that shItaLA dEvi who has the colour of the clouds, with

red tilakas and garlands, carrying winnowing basket and broom on two

hands, with the directions itself as her dress, for saving from all

kinds of ailments, diseses and miseries.[kindly excuse the approximate

translation]

Let my every word be a prayer to Thee,

Every movement of my hands a ritual gesture to Thee,

Every step I take a circumambulation of Thy image,

Every morsel I eat a rite of sacrifice to Thee,

Every time I lay down a prostration at Thy feet;

Every act of personal pleasure and all else that I do,

Let it all be a form of worshiping Thee."

>From Verse 27 of Shri Aadi Shankara's Saundaryalahari

I was under the impression that Max was a woman. Am I incorrect?
