Guest guest
I had an opportunity to worship the Lord of the Seven Hills. On that day there was a special seva called the "Koil Azhwar Thirumanjanam". Guest guest
Tirumanjanam is done to God with a paste which consists oe certain natural product called koil azhwar. The god is first cleaned up neately and then is applied with this paste.Koil Ahzwar is available in the form of powder in all shops dealing with pooja articles.. This is done to protect the idol of god which is usually during Brahmotsavam or Samprokshanam.I think in Tirupathi it would have been done coinciding with srivari brahmotsavam. The god is consisdered pure after this.Sometimes even after during repairs in shrine this is doneAnybody else better on this subject can explain better to you . tovharikrishnan <tovharikrishnan > wrote: I had an opportunity to worship the Lord of the Seven Hills.
