Namaste all,

It is nice to be back after a couple of months or so.

Sri Madathilji has written:

<<When the man knows that the Swamiji he is looking for is the one

sitting beside him, his joy will express as a WOW. That WOW is an

_expression of joy and relief - joy for the luck of finding the

object of his enquiry so fast and easily and relief because the

dramatic end to his search saved him a lot of trouble which he would

have had to undergo otherwise tracking this Swamiji down. This

means that knowledge has brought some experience. The two are

inseparable>>

Exactly what is at the end of Anandvalli of T.Up. "haaaa, wooo, haaaa, wooo"

The greatest relief the enquirer felt on "knowing" that his self is nothing other than the Brahman Itself, i.e. Sat Chit Anantha or Sat Chit Ananda.

The only thng is "this relief" should always remain with the enquirer, so that he can cross the ocean of sansara with Veeryam (Atmana Vindate Veeryam)

With warm regards,

Mani

Namaste,

The Panchadashi Chapter VII, 'Tripti Deepam' concludes with the

following verses:

dhanyo'ham dhanyo'ham nityam svAtmAnam anjasA vedmi

dhanyo'ham dhanyo'ham brahmAnando vibhAti me spaShTam

.....''.......''.....duHkham sAmsArikam na vIkShye adya

.....''.......''.....svasya ajnAnam palAyitam kvApi

and so on. The verses are sweet to even recite. The English version

of these verses is below:

291. As he has achieved all that was to be achieved and nothing else

remains for him to do, he feels satisfied and always thinks thus:

292. Blessed am I, blessed, for I have the constant vision of my

Self ! Blessed am I, blessed, for the bliss of Brahman shines clearly

to me !

293. Blessed am I, blessed, for I am free from the sufferings of the

world. Blessed am I, blessed, for my ignorance has fled away, I know

not where.

294. Blessed am I, blessed, for I have no further duty to perform.

Blessed am I, blessed, for I have now achieved the highest that one

can aspire to.

295. Blessed am I, blessed, for there is nothing to compare with my

great bliss ! Blessed am I, blessed, blessed, blessed, again and

again blessed !

296. O my merits, my merits, how enduringly they have borne fruit !

Wonderful are we, the possessors of this great merit, wonderful !

297. O how grand and true are the scriptures, the scriptures, O how

grand and great is my teacher, my teacher ! O how grand is this

illumination, this illumination, O how grand is this bliss, this

bliss !

298. The wise who study repeatedly this chapter called the `Lamp of

perfect Satisfaction' will dive in the bliss of Brahman and remain in

perfect bliss.

In the Bhagavadgita bhashyam for the verse 55 where Bhagavan

commences to describe the Sthitaprajna, the Acharya writes:

Atmanyeva = pratyagAtmasvarUpe eva AtmanA = svenaiva bAhyalAbha-

nirapekshaH tuShTaH paramArtha-darshana-amruta-rasa-lAbhena anyasmAt

alam-pratyaya-vAn sthita-prajnaH..

Meaning: When a man completely abandons all the various desires that

enter the heart and is satisfied with the True Innermost Self in

himself, without longing for external possessions, averse to

everything else because of his acquisition of the immortal nectar

i.e. his realization of the Supreme Truth, then he is said to be a

wise man.. man of steady knowledge.

Warm Regards,

subbu
