Guest guest
Over the last some years that I have been associated with this forum in particular and many others over more than a decade, one thing is not clear to me: WHAT DOES THE SILENT MAJORITY WANT and see as the product in THEIR jyotish forum? If you want readings without the explanations for you do not know what those mean and don't care, SAY SO ALOUD! If you want beginner stuff, sorry but you are never going to learn jyotish by email! Lots of books and articles and web-material exists already! STUDY that please! If you are just confused after what you have read and studied, then you are at the right place! Please take the time to compose your questions succinctly and give data about the examples that confuse and perplex you! PLEASE do not try to TEST others! You are not ready for that role if you need to ask questions and do not have astrological answers already!! Be sincere please! The reason we see so many skirmishes and ego-fights and so quickly shift our agendas into areas that really have nothing to do with astrology is because posters are not sincere about their agendas! Why do I say that? Can anyone really definitively identify from a blind birthdata if the chart belongs to a male or female, or identify the religion of the nativity or even the race or the person (without peeking into the atlas and figuring out that the birth happened in Luxembourg!). If these cannot be definitively figured out by looking at a horoscope, and please demonstrate me to be wrong -- WHY ARE WE EVEN WASTING ASTROLOGICAL TIME DISCUSSING ABOUT THESE NON-ISSUES AS THEY PERTAIN TO A-S-T-R-O-L-O-G-Y? Guest guest
Dear Rohini ji , Namaskar, I am posting a message after a very long time. I am now a silent member of the forum, and occasionally visit, say once in 10 days, these forum, just to refresh myself, or sheer enjoyment of readings of astrological chit chat or some serious discussions or some knowledge gains from some message or pursue some interesting case. I read your messages to enjoy the poetry or prose and some astro- insights. In my opinion many become members for short durations but do not continue and remain part of the list. Anyway, for me it is real enjoyment visiting the group once a while to know what is happening. With many good wishes to you and all. Guest guest
- Dear mr axeaxa, I think I would go with the other explanation given recently for the 'silence' of majority! That being: individuals join forums and then decide it is not their cup of tea and fail to . Many try to by leaving messages on the message board! They are obviously new to internet. There could be other reasons too, reflecting the diversity that gets attracted to jyotish, astrology, divination, remedies! In my personal view, all questions politely stated must be welcome and generally are! Sometimes very difficult and potentially volatile issues are raised and discussed in a rational manner. At other times, that may not be the case. The joy of diversity! So, if you were reading in my posting an attempt to express a desire that there should be "controlled" content, that was definitely not my intention or desire. Voting is a fundamental right in a democracy. In most democratic nations, voter turn-out tends to be rather poor, generally less than 50% for one reason or another! The silent majority, regardless of their numbers, are simply negating their importance and even existence when they are choosing to remain silent and not participating in normal activities in the forum. That is how we build trust and give ourselves validity as forum members. I was trying to remind the busy, apathetic, nonexistent -- thus silent majority that if they do not show up at the forum, they risk being forgotten, if not eliminated -- just by non-participation!
