Secondly http://jyotishvidya.com/ch41.htm Should the Sun be in Leo identical with the ascendant and be conjunct or aspected by Mars and Jupiter, one will be wealthy. "Sun as identical as ascendant" means consider Sun also as lagna. If it is so now the ascendant is hemmed between two malefics. It applies to planets as well. Say Jupiter is in lagna and malefics are placed in 2nd and 12th. Now the Jupiter as well as lagna is hemmed between malefics. In astrology, between the planet/s occupying the previous house and the next house. Not necessarily malefic planets. The term can be used even if the planets referred to are benefics.
