" Whats does this statement means HEMMED????

Secondly

Should the Sun be in Leo identical with the ascendant and be conjunct

or aspected by Mars and Jupiter, one will be wealthy.

In the above statement "identical with the ascendant " what does this

statement mean...please give me clarity

Dear member,

"Hemmed in between" means that the said

planet/bhava/ascendant is lying between the two

malefic planet, one in 2nd and other in 12th from that

planet.

"Sun as identical as ascendant" means consider Sun

also as lagna. It will give results as lagna gives.

Dear Balkrishna,

Let me share my understanding;

1. Houses adjoining Lagna are 2nd and 12th. If these houses have malefic

planets, lagna will be hemmed by malefics on either side.

2. Implies that if 'Sun is in Leo and Leo is also the Asc....

dear Balkrishna,

See if any malefic is placed in 2nd house. See now if any malefic is

placed in 12th house. If it is so now the ascendant is hemmed between

two malefics.

It applies to planets as well. Say Jupiter is in lagna and malefics

are placed in 2nd and 12th. Now the Jupiter as well as lagna is

hemmed between malefics. It is otherwise known as Papakartari yoga

Incase 12th house and 2nd house is occupied by some malefics ie saturn rahu kethu mars it is hemmed similarly if you say 2nd house is hemmed it means there are some malefic planets in 3rd house and ascendent

'Hemmed in between' means confined within or enclosed between. In astrology, between the planet/s occupying the previous house and the next house. Not necessarily malefic planets. The term can be used even if the planets referred to are benefics.
