Guest guest
from a friend in USA who asked someone who knows more then most. Goji is a slang term for woflberries. BUT, Himilayan Goji juice is definately not the same as Ningxia Red. There is no anti-oxidant capacity of that juice of any kind. We're actually kind of baffled to what is really in it because it should read something. Many substandard juices are comprimised primarily of grape, pear, and apple juice. To the average consumer, they do not know these are nothing more than cheap, filler junk juices. They use them to sweeten and to fill - there is no nutritional value. Also, it is important to note that where the wolfberries come from is very important. They do NOT grow in the Himalayas! The altitude is too high and the bush does not berry! So many people have been sold on that bill of goods. The ONLY berries that have been shown to create significant health effects through research are the berries from the NINGXIA provence in China. This area is at the base of the Yellow River and there is very alkaline soils just full of minerals. This is what creates a superfood like that which we have in Ningxia Red. It is also important to note the other juices coupled with the Ningxia Wolfberries. Blueberry, pomegranate, apricot, and raspberry are all well documented health contributing juices - not junky filler. Also we use grape seed, skin and stem extract as a preservative and it also has an antibacterial effect. We sweeten the juice w/ agave nectar, a very low glycemic burning ingredient that comes from the agave cactus. Then of course there is lemon and orange essential oils in it. So, is Goji juice and Ningxia Red the same - definately not. You'd have to drink truckloads of that juice (literally) to get the same effect as 1 ounce of Ningxia Red. That is truth! end of quote TridaNDi BhikSu, Bhakti Visrambha MAdhava
