A Chandi Sankalpa for Autumn Navaratri 2006

Dear Friends,

In keeping with spirit of Navaratri and with the spirit of our online classes (thank you Ramya and Srini), it seems natural to want to focus on the Divine Mother Durga.

While many of us will take our own individual sankalpas , how about a group sankalpa as well? We will follow the same pattern as we did over a year ago - to chant the entire Chandi atleast once within this auspicious period.

Here is the suggested breakout of the chapters starting the second day of Navaratri and finishing on the 8th day.

Sep 24 th : All the preliminaries as per Swamiji's book and Chapter 1

Sep 25 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapters 2 & 3

Sep 26 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapters 4

Sep 27 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapters 5, 6, 7, & 8

Sep 28 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapters 9 & 10

Sep 29 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapter 11

Sep 30 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapters 12 &13 and conclusion as per Swamiji's book.
