Guest guest
Namaste all Are we all so busy as to have no time to check even the subject heading of what we post for possible typos? Recently several posts have appeared with clumsy mis-spelt titles. Since these subject headings appear in all subsequent discussions on the post, may I appeal to members to give a little more respect to our own posts on the advaitin? If already a title appears that has started with a typo in it, please correct it and start a new thread, if necessary. Already on the thread about "A humble tribute to a MahAtmA" the first two words "A humble" was so clumsily appearing wrongly in several posts and Subbu-ji pointed this out and started a new thread, but still the old heading persists. Can we be a little more careful? Doesn't the advaitin group deserve a little more care from us as to how it shows itself to the outside world? Thanks and PraNAms to all advaitins. profvk
Guest guest
Namaste all. I can see now how old wrongly spelt titles persist in the further posts. I noticed the title "Shaila Putri of Nava Duga" and used that post to reply. That was how my post on the present title "Appeal, etc." was prepared. But, even though I erased the title "Shaila Putri etc." when it appears on the group posts, my mail (#33409) with the new subject heading appears as a supplementary to "Shaila Putri etc."! This is how probably even after Subbuji's correction of "A humble ..." from its mis-spelt title, the old mis-spelt title persisted. So my humble appeal is again this. When a mis-spelt title appears, start a new thread, by not replying to the thread, but a brand new thread with the correctly spelt title! For example, in the case of the "Shaila Putri, etc." whoever wants to reply to it, should start a brand new thread with the correct title, spelling 'Duga' as Durga or DurgA. Thank you once again! PraNAms to all advaitins. profvk
Guest guest
Dear Prof. Krishnamurthy-ji: We usually read posts in the order that they come in. So I had not read Sri Subbu-ji's post regarding the misspelling in the subject line (A humble tribute to a Mahatma) prior to replying to Dr. Yadu-ji's first post which contained the original subject line with the misspelled words. Typically, we do not pay attention to the original subject line assuming that it is generally correct. As soon as I saw Subbu-ji's post pointing out the misspelling on the subject heading, I corrected the subject heading on my subsequent posts. My apologies to the moderators and the members.
