If you visit the site given below, you will get all the data, information, methodology and even practical demonstration of what you are interested in plus some more. http://www.shreemaa.org With best regards, Chetan wrote: 5. I do not like the word "converted" because it suggests I suddenly woke up one day and gave up everything I believed in to become something else. For me, becoming a Hindu has been a long and very slow transition. Studying mythology, anthropology, and comparative religion has been my favorite hobby for 28 years. I've mostly focused on native american and european pre-crhistian traditions. A few years ago I discovered the genius of an author named Joseph Campbell. In his opinion, all european Pagan beliefs lead back to the Indus valley and Vedic Hinduism. My own research has lead me to the same conclusion, and I've discovered Hinduism, particularly Shaivism and Shaktism, really speak to me spiritually. Now I've dived into Hinduism head first, and while I understand the philosophy, I have no idea how to "be" a Hindu. I'm here hoping to learn about how to perform puja and arati, and how to celebrate the many holy days of Hinduism. Please help me learn how to be a Hindu. Shanti, Roy PS~ My temples website is www.haritemple.org , and my blog is http://360./mananatma .
