Ammachi, please guide and bless us as we open our

hearts to the teaching of the Sri Guru Gita. Divine

Mother, stand with us, as we grow in our Selves and as

we continue to open our hearts and our minds to your

Love and Light. Amma, show us how to share your

inspiration and your Love for us with the World.

We dedicate our study today to Peace on this Earth,

and to healing the hearts of humankind.

 

Guru Gita Study Session 16

 

Verse 74. The Lord Said:

 

There is no truth higher than the Guru, no austerity

more purifying than service to him, no realization

greater than knowledge of him. Salutations to the

Guru!

 

Verse 75.

 

My Lord is the Lord of the universe, my Guru, the

teacher of the three worlds. My Self is the Self of

all beings. Salutations to the Guru!

 

Verse 76

 

The root of meditation is the Guru’s form;

The root of worship is the Guru’s feet;

The root of mantra is the Guru’s word;

The root of liberation is the Guru’s Grace.

 

Verse 77.

 

The Guru has a beginning and She is without beginning.

She is the supreme deity. There is nothing higher than

Her. Salutations to the Guru!

 

Verse 78.

 

The merit gained through dips in all the holy waters

of the seven seas fades when compared to that gained

through sipping even one thousandth part of a drop of

the water of the Guru’s feet.
