Guest guest
I've uploaded some photos of the birthday celebration in the DC area satsang. They look better full-size rather than the preview on . I have a digital camera, but it's old and malfunctioning. I asked to use my mom's 35mm because it has a panoramic setting which she likes to use for her gardens. The panoramic viewing always looks neat to me. Unfortunately, both she and I didn't realize she had a newer camera in the cabinet which uses infrared autofocus instead of the passive autofocus of the one I ended up using. Passive autofocus needs good lighting to focus and the area where Dayamrita was sitting was darker than the rest of the room, not to mention the terrible back lighting from the windows. Only about half the photos were clear enough to be useful. I had wanted to stay around and catch up on news during the dinner, but left once I ate because of a terrible migraine and I needed to rest before going to work later that night. A certain someone needs to learn the benefits of limiting a discourse to 30 minutes and bhajans to 60 minutes... Then we could have eaten at a reasonable time and those who left before the dinner may not have had to. Sure, he was a little late in arriving, but not that late to end so late. The files are numbered so they'll appear in order if you view them in a slideshow format. tom
