Guest guest
Question from a devotee: I understand that the Divine Mother in the form of different goddesses has a different "YANTRA" for worship as per tantrik traditions. Could you kindly let me know if Goddess Durga can be worshipped in the form of SHRI YANTRA (which is specific to Lalita Tripurasundari) or can she be worshipped only with the DURGA YANTRA. I have one more querry. Could you possibly let me know the esoteric significance of "SANDHI PUJA" - the Goddess in the form of Chamunda slaying chanda and munda (anger and passion as per your interpretation) specifically at the junction of the 8th and 9th days? What is the significance of the numbers 8 and 9 here? Swamiji's response: Yes, you can worship any Goddess on the Shri Yantra. They are but different names for the same divinity. The 8th, 9th, and 10th days of Navaratri have special significance because it is the grand finale. On the 8th day and Chapter of Chandi, She slays the Seed of Desire. At the Sandhi Puja, between the 8th and 9th days, She slays Anger and Passion. On the 9th day She slays Self-Deprecation. And the 10th day is known as Vijaya, Victory! She slays Self-Conceit.
