Guest guest
Sat Nam All, A few months back I felt a really uncomfortable twinge in my lower back whilst doing cobra pose, basically I overstretched in the posture (maybe through ego by wanting to progress too quickly!). I avoided postures that would aggravate it for a while but now it has gotten to the stage where my practice is restricted (I am unable to do forward bends to stretch the legs as it is painful!). Does anyone know of any exercises that will loosen it up, or any remedies (yogic or otherwise) that would help? I have considered acupuncture but its pretty pricey at £25 a session. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards Otto
Guest guest
I too am getting over a lower back type injury I did Dead lifting (gluteus medius). I am finding "getting access" to the area to build up strength seems to be the best. By this I mean opening up the Hips/Groin Area. Things like crow pose, hamstring postures and well as lower back twists. Basically working on opening up that whole hip area. The key (I'm finding) is not to be passive in your poses make sure you actively work them (If you get what I'm saying?) Use a little creative thought to your poses during target the mind to achieve what you want as well. Remember those zing and ompf fibres keep you strong Kundaliniyoga, "otto_fender" <j_s_hume wrote: > > Sat Nam All, > > A few months back I felt a really uncomfortable twinge in my lower back > whilst doing cobra pose, basically I overstretched in the posture > (maybe through ego by wanting to progress too quickly!).
