Guest guest
Dear Dr Bhate Which of your recent recommendations would best suit a 5' 17 year old grandson of a patient of mine. He has considerable facial hair growth typical of his Italian heritage but I am sure that the lack of height is difficult for him and would appreciate any suggestions you might offer for him. Thanks Jane
Guest guest
Dear Jane Answer to your querry is already provided by Dr Vidhyasagar http://health.ayurveda/message/7942 Puberty is a new milestone in life. Building up of Dhatus by body was being used by body to grow before puberty. After puberty, same dhatus are being used to create the material to grow another body, a replica of the present one. The presence of seventh dhatu "Veerya or Rajas(in case of girls)" can be seen in moons at the root of nails. If Veerya or Rajas are carefully preserved till age 24 in boys and 18 in girls, then they become unbreakable "bullet proof" jacket against all diseases for lifetime. This is the "Ojas". But even wet dreams can cause holes in the jacket. Our highest growth rates were after birth, while on mothers milk alone, totally low fat, low protein diet. As soon as carbs(grains) appear in picture, growth rates start slowly reducing, as more energy is burned up in movements, thinking etc. Add proteins and growth rate drops further, though weight may build up by way of muscle density. This does not, however, mean that if we restart mothers milk, growth rate may get restored to childhood rate, we cant alter the programming of our cells carried out by God. google using key-words "precocious puberty". some literature may get thrown up on what causes rapid height increase in case of precocious puberty, but then children lose the height gain which will occure later after puberty sets in fully. The proverb "slow and steady wins the race" stands true here. The onion and honey slightly increases growth hormones, to boost the height, but author has seen that testosterone may also get boosted! ayurveda, "Jane MacRoss" <HIGHFIELD wrote: > Which of your recent recommendations would best suit a 5' 17 year old grandson of a patient of mine.
