As far as I understand this is not as common these days, particularly in

Australia. You could ask Kurma prabhu for a clearer picture of this.

 

>From the information I have receive about Varakh there are actually tiny

particles of flesh embedded in the silver foil. Not really something we

should be offering to the deities.

The Indian brand you refer to Varakh appears contaminated, I supplied

information in two earlier e-mails however, the German and Italian brands of

Silver Leaf are processed

using Wax paper/Parrafin, which has no Animal product.
