Guest guest
> Maybe Sriman Hari Sauri Prabhu can enlighten us what Srila > Prabhupadas standard was on silk ? I don't think it is such a big issue, > but I have avoided using silk. Srila Prabhupada always wore silk, at least when I was travelling with him. He didn't have any cotton clothes at all. When I bought a silk dhoti in Calcutta he was pleased: TD Vol 1 January 15, 1976--Calcutta "Later in the day I came before Prabhupada wearing a new raw silk dhoti, which he immediately noticed. He asked me whether it was silk and how much it cost. Remembering that in Vrndavana he had complimented me for getting a good dhoti for only fourteen rupees, I thought he might not be happy that I had spent 175 on this one. However, he was quite pleased and remarked that silk is very nice." Your humble servant, Hari-sauri dasa
