Guest guest
Dear all, I have received letters from the esteemed members of this forum thanking me for this kainkaryam. Please, no thanks are due to me- thank the moderators, and those who saved this grantham and those who wrote the original and Shri BhUmidevI sametha Oppiliappan Himself! I am reminded of a little incident in the Ramayana as described by shrI PVP and I am sharing a little of it here. The scene: the shore of the sea . According to VibhishaNa's advice, Shri Rama is lying down on the bed of dharbha with just his beautiful arms to rest His Head on. He does not have His bow and arrows and only Saumithri is respectfully standing close to Him. Where are the commanders-in-chief of the army and SugrivA? They are keeping their distance and watching this with respect and there are a few unanswered queations in their minds. Why should Rama request Varuna? does he deserve that? Should'nt He be taking action straightaway? Nevertheless, they are still keeping watch over Him and security was very tight both in the sky and on the ground. After all, did not VibheeshaNa come via the sky for sharNagathy? So, the commanders-in-chief were not taking any chances - the Lord was on the ground without His weapons! So, they stood guard. Why? isn't Lord Rama not capable of taking care of himself? The answer is "yes", but still they stood guard because of extreme affection , even though they knew that He, whom they are protecting, is their protector as well!! Their love for the Lord made them stand gaurd for the Rama, Protector. I am relating this, because likewise all the material we are trying to save have been there forever -- we do this because we like to do this and we like to share this with the rest of the Satsangh and we get the satisfaction that we have "saved" His material, while we ourselves are His, body, mind and soul - the material included! So, who is saving this?!! Isn't that the point? or is it?!!! Shubha But then, I do thank all the members who wrote to me and thanked me!!
