Dear Anand and Krishna,

Thank you so much Anand for sharing this! Great to see this birthtime here

that Dymock Brose gives reporting that Steve Irwin gave a time of 1:00 AM.

Then also to see how Dymock has analyzed this and come to the 00:57 time

using harmonics. All very interesting.

Krishna, to get to the web site and page Anand is speaking of use:

Dear All,

The time being used by Western astrologers (01.00am) was put forward by

Milton Black--see link: http://www.noeltyl.com/cgibin/index.cgi?read=103903

As stated, Steve had no interest whatsoever in astrology and his memory of

what he (thought) it might be could not have been validated by his mother as

she'd passed on in 2000. The reason I make a point of this is because I've

looked at both Sagittarius rising (01:00AM) and Aries rising (11:32AM) side

by side, and I feel (still) that Aries rising is the most appropriate.

Dymock Brose wrote:

//The first step in finding a birth time is to settle on a Trial Ascendant.

Choose a Sign that suits what is known of the subject and his activities.//

I agree with this as the first (tentative) step.

//With this in mind I put the Ascendant in Sagittarius as being very akin to

Irwin's nature, physical constitution and manner of life-a lover of the

outdoors, strong constitution, boundless energy, free, frank, sincere,

independent, and unconventional.//

>From the viewpoint of Vedic astrology it would be difficult to imagine

combust lagna lord (Jupiter) in sign of debilitation (in 2nd) fitting his

persona. BTW there is a general rule that neecha planets in kendras (which

is the case with Aries lagna) are good...in practice, not always as harmful

to the extent that might be expected in other bhavas.

//It is also noteworthy that Steve Irwin died on 4th September 2006 while on

5th September Pluto was Stationary at 24Sag05, square to the Moon ruling the

House of Death in Irwin's Birth Figure (orb 0°47'). There is no more

powerful indicator than this.//

As Vedic astrologers we should know that the trans-Saturnian planets have no

role whatsoever in our destiny. Such concepts should not be entertained here

at all...we should look at the two (possible) charts from a purely Vedic

perspective. So, I will not comment more on Mr. Brose's interpretation.

I spoke previously about the exaltation of lagna lord Mars and its aspect on

lagna in terms of his unbounded energy, exuberance and passion...it will

take a lot to convince me that this man who (in his own words) was hardly

able to contain his energy from the moment he awoke every morning, has

debilitated Jupiter as his lagna lord. He was renowned for his energy and

passion!

Also, as we know, animals (quadrupeds etc) were his great passion, and, if

I'm not mistaken, these can be seen from 4th, 6th and 11th. In the Aries

chart, Steve has Rahu in 4th, 4th lord in 6th and VE/SU in 11th...these

houses are unoccupied in the Sagittarius chart. Another important feature in

regards to 6th (apart from his extremely emotional attachment to his

personal pets) was his prowess in 'preparation of food'...Steve cooked all

the meals in his household!

I could go on infinitum, but I'll leave it here for now and let you all

examine the two charts yourself.

PS: His mother, a maternity nurse by profession, was killed in a car

accident 11 Feb 2000.

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Wendy

Dear All,

My longevity analysis shows that the birth time of 11:32am is

probably the right one.

This puts the death during Guru-Ketu-Budha-Ketu period. This

appears perfect as Both Guru and Budha aspect the 4th house

representing heart. Both Guru and Budha are associated with Ketu

(indicating poison). Ketu also represents Kuja indicating

injury. Note that Ketu is associated with Kuja as well. It is

also interesting to note that Kuja is the 8th lord and Budha is

the 6th lord. In addition, another malefic Rahu is sitting in

the same 4th house representing heart.

My own longevity analysis gives Guru as the maraka for madhyayu

period. The involvement of Guru can be explained as Guru is the

7th lord from Chandra in Rasi. In Navamsa, Guru is the 8th lord

from lagna and is sitting in the 8th house from Chandra. Guru is

also 2nd lord from Chandra.

With these factors, I tend to agree that 11:32am is the correct

birth time.

Krishna

PS: If I'm not mistaken, 4th house shows (domesticated) farm animals such as

cattle, sheep, goats etc, as well as those used for conveyance such as

horses, donkeys and elephants. 6th house shows all animals that we adopt as

pets and 11th shows all wild animals.

Assuming that the above is correct it's fitting that 6th/11th lords are

conjunct lagna lord in 10th (status/name/fame etc). 4th house too speaks

volumes about his home environment...the zoo was 'home' for him and many

wild animals with whom he developed a strong bond (as we commonly do with

pets)... Note; Rahu (in 4th) is co-owner of Aquarius.

I adjusted the tentative time I had originally as I looked at confirming

some major events in his life. With the slight adjustment (of around a

minute or so) his mother's death occurred during JU-JU-MO-MO...this was just

a quick look as I don't have a lot of time to spare at the moment - more

rectification could certainly be needed. Members might care to try their

hand at further rectification, remembering that transits are vitally

important as is the correct (Lahiri) ayanamsha.

I regret I don't have much time for the list at the moment, but there are

things I need to catch up on and get into order...they've been neglected far

too long, I'm afraid:-(

Mrs. Wendy
