Guest guest
Haribol Prabhu, Bhaktivedanta Manor produces about 50% of its total milk needs. All the fresh milk needs are met and most of the curd needs are met. We do not make ghee or butter as yet. If we had more land we would breed enough cows per year to be completely self reliant in milk and milk products not only for the Manor but also for our nearest city Temple with deities in Central London (Radha Londonisvara). All our bulls and oxen are protected. Of the nine oxen of working age six are worked regularly and the other three occasionaly (to be remedied over the next year). The young oxen in the herd will all be trained to work from the age of three years and actually put to work in rota. In respect to other farms who are progressive in their cow protection and working Oxen I think you should contact the hungarian farm. ys syam
