Guest guest
Dear All, Om Shri Gurave Namah! Om Gam Ganapataye Namah! Om Sang Saraswatyai Namah! Om Kring Kalyai Namah! We will begin our study of the Kali Puja book written and translated by Swamiji. If you don't have a copy of the book you can get it at http://www.shreemaa.org/drupal-4.7.3/ taxonomy_menu/55/96 There is also a very beautiful CD of Shree Maa singing the 1000 Names of Kali. Playing this CD on Kali Puja day would be one great way of remembering the Goddess. Remember that there is a big Kali puja coming up on Friday, October 20. Everyone is encouraged to participate with thoughts, feelings, ideas, inspirations, questions, poems, stories, art, etc about Kali Maa. Please don't be shy. DAY 1 1.Who is Kali? For those of you who have a Kali puja book, could you please read the introduction and share any ideas you have with the group. Even if you don't have a book you can also share your ideas about Kali. Maha Kali is looking forward to hearing from all of her beloved children!
Guest guest
Namaste Parvatiji and all, as I am going to retire to the beautiful Swiss mountains for a week or so, I will not be able to be actively involved in the class, which I regret very much. But I'd like to contribute by sharing with you all one of Master Ramprasad's poems (Lex Hixon's translation). Whenever I read this, I see Shree Maa and Swamiji, and the whole Devi Mandir Family dancing and singing... and I am joining you in spirit. 'The Mother of the Universe captivates every world with her beauty Her long hair streams as waves of cosmic energy. This drunken poet has fallen forever in love with her glorious black luminosity. Mystic union with her transcendent blackness is experienced my intense lovers. This blackness even exhilarates Shiva, supreme Knower of Reality, and inspires as well every heavenly being, every ardent saint, every awakened sage. Lord Shiva, essence of divinity, meditates on her black form ceaselessly as she dances in his heart. Her beautiful blackness flows as the graceful play of Krishna, who removes all notions of mundane existence from ecstatic milkmaids, souls filled with sweet devotion. Then Lord Krishna, garlanded with wildflowers, transforms once more into original Kali, wielding her sword of wisdom that cuts away the veil of multiplicity. The Black Goddess and her companions are eternally sixteen, timelessly dancing. How my mysterious Mother shines, full moon of Goddess Wisdom that never wanes, surrounded by these piercing stars, her revolutionary spiritual children! Utterly lost in delight, her poet lover sings: "This is the dawning of enlightenment, the awakening to nonduality. Her form and every form are now blending into one radiant blackness. O mind, despise no being, reject no path. See all in her and her in all." ' Jai Kali Maa! Guest guest
Just heard about this this moment; haven't read the intro yet. I re- started using the blue Kali pamphlet yesterday. Kali is NATURE; she lets me tend her flowers in my dreams. Guest guest
Namaste Parvati, Thanks for this opportunity. I have not siged up for Kali puja as i will not have daily access to a pc until monthend but will check whenever possible. Who is Kali? Kali is the Dark Night Mother yet Who gives us light. Kali is the light of wisdom which takes away our confusion. She grants the best of the three worlds, She stands and saves the universe. She is the One with Divine Spirit, the Soul of the universe. Kali is the Remover of sufferings. She is the Merciful One. See Her as we make offerings to the fire, with opened mouth Kali accepts all that we give -- thoughts, desires, goals, projections, speculations --- turning the bad into good, the good to better, better to best and then to Liberation. Kali is the One who loves her children beyond the limited human understanding; She has come to us in the perceivable form of Shree Maa and Swamiji to guide us to our true Kingdom. Swamiji's eyes are ever fixed and attentive to Mother. She stops Her dance to witness His pure devotion. Om kali kali mahakali kalike papaharini dharmarthamoksade devi narayani namo-stute Bowing with deepest reverence to Her Divine Incarnation, let this crown be Her footstool and my heart, Her everlasting home. Jai Maa Jai Swami Om hrim srim krim paramesvari kalike svaha Kaliananda , "parv108" <parv108 wrote: > > Dear All, > > Om Shri Gurave Namah! > Om Gam Ganapataye Namah! > Om Sang Saraswatyai Namah! > Om Kring Kalyai Namah! > > > DAY 1 > 1.Who is Kali? > > For those of you who have a Kali puja book, could you please read the introduction and > share any ideas you have with the group.
