Guest guest
Namaste In order for this energy transfer, guided meditation, and purification rite we call Kali puja to work smoothly, I find it best to think of Shree Maa as Kali. She is Beauty and Compassion incarnate. She is living wisdom and totally focused and one pointed in all Her actions. She is every attribute described in Her 1000 names in the Kali puja book. She is our Mother. As our Mother, She has only one purpose: to remove suffering from Her devottees, Her children. She knows each of our hearts, sees all the knots and cracks and darkness from lifetimes of suffering in maya. Swiftly, with Her sharp sword, She cuts us open, plunges inside, and performs open heart surgery. She opens our heart, cuts out the infected area, and closes the wound. The first meeting we have with Her, whether in our hearts or in person, is when the surgery takes place. After the surgery, She sprinkles blessed Ganga water on the wound, and prays for rapid healing, and soothes our forehead with a cool and loving touch. As we heal, She teaches us how to worship Her. What mantras to use, how and when to use them, and promises that whenever we say Her name She will come. The mantras are the medicine and the elixir which heal us, and help us to blend more and more with Her. The mantras take away the mind, and bring us back to the purity of pure consciousness, that state where She and we are one. Do we have to visit the Mandir to have that experience? No. We only have to pray with pure devotion and She will hear our prayer and come. In Her biography, "Before Becoming This", She states She hears every prayer offered. Every prayer. We should take every chance to learn how to make our prayers more powerful and pleasing to Her. Namaste Vishweshwar
