Hello everyone,

My name is Miss Jo and I am really glad to find this group. I have

been doing searches for a while to find myself some interactive Yoga

site. I really need to participate in Yoga for my bones, and my

Health. According to my Doctor, my bones and that whole system

(musculoskelatel)

is twice my chronological age. No one seems to know why but it really

is painful and I hate injections and am on alot of pain medication. I

also suffer from Fibromyalgia as well as Arthritis, Tendonitis,

Bursitis and Tennis Elbow. I have had spinal surgery but I am very

flexible as I danced alot as a young woman. I am really hopeful that

this technique will be helpful to me as I cannot afford to go to a

club and learn. I am totally disabled and I do not have much money at

all. I do hope that you guys and ladies will send me some encouraging

notes and some educational ones too. I know nothing of the chanting

and meditation however, but will be a willing student, as I certainly

have a TON of negativity in my life too. Thanks for accepting my

membership.

Sat Nam, Miss Jo and welcome. This note is in the line of

encouragement both in your

beginning a yoga practice and to explore your options. You will

without doubt read a

wealth of information in response to your extending your hand and

heart. Go to the

website, read, practice, read, practice. Depending where you live, you

may find

'community' classes generally reasonable priced. You can check the

website for teachers

in your area.

Breathe! Feel the healing energy of your breath. Slowly and gently

allow that healing

energy to penetrate painful, tight areas.

Best to you,

Guru Gopal Kaur

Hi Miss Jo, good to see you here. I lurk more than I post but because of what KY has done for me, I love to see new people join.

Whatever you feel, yoga will help.

However you are, yoga will be there for you.

Whenever you need carrying, yoga can carry you.

Whoever you might be, you will find it.

Good luck. I'm sure others here can advise on specific physical areas for you but you know, it's the mind that matters. All physical, mental and emotional yoga starts ripples within you that extend to others and help you know what you need to know when it is needed to be known! Do what you can, then a bit more, then a bit more... And you will be kept up.

Dear Amy,

God Bless you. From my experience I feel there is nothing that Yoga cannot help with. It churns you from inside out.

The negativity that you mention is the cause behind the pain. I had mild fibro but I realized how much of negativity I had , YOga is cleansing me, I know now for sure how much I have purged out, I feel very light and free, more to go of course...

All we need is "KEEP UP and WE WILL BE KEPT UP--YB" so true...I always remember this.

SAT NAM,
