Guest guest
Dear Rohini Ranjan ji, I think clients jump ship when it comes to readings is because it's human nature first which is never satisfied and secondly the answer given is confusing. Say as for me, I am from Nepal, and I have consulted few astrologers here on paid basis. But all of them had different versions and no one was specific. So I have tried to get answers from learned astrologers from India by posting in some of the . And 2-3 people who have replied me also had different versions. My query was as follows: Currently, I am working in a private insurance company in Nepal but I would like to change my job or start a new business because the current job is mentally and physically not satisfying to me. I have been looking for another job for a long time and hasn't been successful yet. I have to look after my mom and younger sister so I can't go to foreign country also. I want to be established in my home country. If change is there for me, when will it be and which career path shall I follow? Will it be another job or start a new business? Which field is best for me and if I start a business, is partnership OK for me or not? My mom wants me to get married but I am not interested right now coz I haven't been established successfully in my career path and also I don't know what kind of girl she will be. About my marriage, when will it take place? Will it be arranged or love marriage? And what kind of girl will she be? And like to know about my health also? How will it be in my future? (My father died of bone cancer in 2001 and younger sister died of Encephalitis in 2005). I am going through lot of mental and physical ups and downs. Is there foreign travel or foreign settlement for me? I have only travelled once to India in 2001 only. If so, when and where? (However, I prefer settling in my own country but love to travel for pleasure and work.) Date of Birth: 12 January, 1976 Time of Birth: 11:05 AM NST (10:50 AM IST) Place of Birth: Kathmandu, Nepal The answers I got was like for my career, some say I will change career right after my birthday, some said after few years, and some say I will not. What I wanted to know was whether I will change my career and if so, which time (month or year) and which field will I choose. Similarly for my marriage, one said I will marry in Feb./Mar. of 2007, one said in 2009, other said 2010. For health, some suggested me to wear Tourmaline, some to enhance Mars, some to wear Garnet, some cat's eye, etc. For foreign travel, one said that I will settle in foreign country after 2007, one said I will not settle but chance of visting foreign countries for pleasure, one said I will not travel to foreign country and one said there may be chance in future. But nobody was specific and all conflicting. So when people get different answers without any specific answers, then it urges people to seek help from others expecting the next one may be specific and solve the problems. Maybe, my urge to seek answers specifically has chosen you for the answers to my questions, if you could guide me properly. I must clarify that no that was not (never has been -- no matter what they tell you!) my intent ;-) I was and am sincerely trying to fathom the following things: What is it that makes a client (paying or otherwise) go for a second opinion after receiving their first astrological reading? If failure of the first reading, after waiting out the period of prediction, generally months to years (!) then that is absolutely legitimate. But if it happens before the reading/prediction period has run out then, is it because: = The astrologer was unimpressive and unconvincing? = The reading experience was not what the client fantasized and expected? = Was the reading fine but the astrologer not? As in too uncommunicative, difficult to understand, other reasons? Hopefully you will share your experiences without naming names! And others too who have suffered similar situations! Guest guest
For starters and I am posting this publicly in case others also work on your chart! In 1976 Nepal was using IST. Is your recorded time 10:50 or 11:05 AM (recorded time!) Always when the ducks are moving as in the case of your birthdata it is wise to also include details about the source of information. It is best to give the actual recorded time always particularly when the locality is in an area/country with time changes etc. :-) 15 minutes is a lot to throw calculations off. RR , "Rajan S. Guest guest
I will try again :-) Read my original posting in this thread and you will see where you are missing the point in the briefly quoted message below from your post: , "Rajan S. Malla" <rajan wrote: > > So when people get different answers without any specific answers, then it > urges people to seek help from others expecting the next one may be specific > and solve the problems... *********************************** Rajan, my question was: What happened after the first reading that made the person go to the second one, and third and so on! Your disappointment with different readings from different astrologers is understandable, but the QUESTION is: WHY DID YOU OR ANYONE GO TO THE NEXT ASTROLOGER AND HOW SOON AFTER THE FIRST READING? :-) See my point? Guest guest
Dear RR ji, Would like to share my personal experience, which may or may not be typical. The experience of an astrological reading is extremely practitioner dependent. And also, like you mentioned, we have a pre-conceived idea in us about how the experience of a reading would be. When I approached an astrologer (on the internet) for the first time, I expected to get connected, through the astrologer, to a lifetime message, that is meant for me. If I may say, get connected to Kaal. The astrologer happened to say exactly what I wanted to hear, but even then, I did not have the experience that "THIS IS THE MESSAGE". I am unable to explain why. There was a thirst in me that was not quenched. I did not have the feeling that I was connected to the Divine message. Something was missing. It was not the sincerity of the astrologer. But I had the feeling that maybe he was not after all passing on or tuning into THE message, if there is anything called that. Hence I tried again, but half heartedly this time. But I consider myself a very lucky person, in many ways. And I did finally find the person who gave me the tuning in that I was looking for. Needless to say, it was NOT, what I wanted to hear, at that point of time in my life. But I was so satisfied with the experience that I accepted it. After that I have not had the urge to ask anyone else for any opinion on my chart. Regards, Nandini. , "Rohiniranjan" <jyotish_vani wrote: > > I will try again :-) > Read my original posting in this thread and you will see where you > are missing the point in the briefly quoted message below from your > post: > , "Rajan S. Guest guest
Dear Rohiniranjan ji, For myself, I went to another astrologer only after the prediction given by first astrologer for a specific question didn't happen or go against the prediction. As a human nature, we seek remedies or answers for problems in our life until we get some satisfaction or right answer. My expereince with astrologers or even tantriks was immense last year when my sister was admitted in hospital and she was in coma. I consulted many of them and each one gave me specific duration of time when some result will show off but invain. This tend me to next one and same thing happened again and again. Maybe only for my sister's well-being, I consulted about 5-6 learned ones and I think 4 of them said that she will live but she died. Regards Rajan , "Rohiniranjan" <jyotish_vani wrote: > > I will try again :-) > Read my original posting in this thread and you will see where you > are missing the point in the briefly quoted message below from your > post: > , "Rajan S. Guest guest
But Nepal Standard Time was not even in effect in 1976! Let me repeat! If you are serious, you must tell me the source of birthdata. Is it from a verbal account (parent's recollection) or a family diary or record? What were the numbers representing the time recorded there? 11:05 or 10:50? Please respond seriously and give full information. Guest guest
Rajan, That is perfectly valid, obviously. But do you know if he was using 11:05 NST or 10:50 IST for a 1976 birth in Nepal? Guest guest
Dear Rohiniranjan ji, Sorry for late reply. Was engaged in Dipawali celebration. The source of birth data is from my mother as well as I checked the hospital record given to us. The birth time is 11:05 AM. Guest guest
So that would make it 11:05 IST because IST was what was in use in your birth year. Do you agree? 11:05 IST and not 11:05 NST as indicated by you below but rather 10:50 NST. The astrologers you were criticising at one point -- did they use 11:05 NST because that is what you told them perhaps, in the past? Guest guest
Dear Rohiniranjan ji, But I think Nepal was using NST, not IST during 1976. So it should be 11:05 AM NST. And even my janampatrika bears the same chart based on 11:05 AM NST. I have always used 11:05 AM NST as my birth time. Guest guest
Dear Rohiniranjan ji, Perhaps you are right. I checked on some websites and found that Nepal started using NST only from 1986. So this means, the time recorded on my birth certificate (11:05 AM) may be actually IST. Since my father has died, I checked with my mother and she says she know it was 11:05 AM but no idea whether it is NST or IST. So I think it may be that the recorded time of 11:05 AM might be actually IST. Does 10:50 or 11:05 gives different result for me? Or one other way to verify is that you can verify with some past events in my life. If you need to know anything from my past to verify your data, I can furnish that. For your reference, my father died on 28th October, 2001 and my younger sister died on 23rd November, 2005. I got employed on my current job on 26th May, 2003. And my only foreign trip was to India on 3rd September, 2001. I hope these events may help you in calculating exact details on me. Guest guest
The book says 1988, your website says 1986. Perhaps you should check with an official source in Nepal (governments usually have the information in city halls etc). Are you in Nepal these days or someone there can find out the exact date when IST was replaced by NST. It is recent information and should be easy to find out. Before we go skeet-shooting with data, it would be important to figure this out. Your situation has turned out to be a good illustration of the confused state of birth data that are often utilized or given and utilized without critical examination. Guest guest
Please delete the lower part of this thread while replying. The message has become too heavy. - Rohiniranjan Saturday, 28 October, 2006 04:06 Re: What makes nativities/clients jump ship when it comes to readings! Guest guest
Very good advice, Ashutoshji. With the current improvement in the way displays the thread tree, perhaps we all should do exactly that and just post our replies instead of quoting the entire thread. This will still enable one to look up the earlier messages by going to the list below the reply. I will try to do this in future. RR
Guest guest
Dear Rohiniranjan ji, I checked 2/3 websites and they all say it was 1986. However, since I am in Nepal now, I will try to check here also and let you know after sometime. Regards, Rajan , "Rohiniranjan" <jyotish_vani wrote: > > The book says 1988, your website says 1986. Guest guest
Dear Rohiniranjan ji, I couldn't get anything from official source. However, I consulted with some senior persons and according to them, the time in Kathmandu (maybe different for different cities) at that time was used as GMT+5:40. So the clock was adjusted for 5 minutes to the present time (presently it's GMT+5:45). I hope you can use this info or cross-check the incidents that I have provided you of my past events. Waiting eagerly for your analysis. Regards, Rajan , "prakriti_the_nature" <rajan wrote: > > Dear Rohiniranjan ji, > I checked 2/3 websites and they all say it was 1986.
