Dear Parvati ~ thanks so much for including this quote from the introduction of the Kali Book. I still don't have mine yet, and this helps. I am still reciting the Chandi, and have realized that where the Goddesses are named in the English, but I can't tell Whom they are in the Sanskrit transliteration, I am confused. So I thought this was so ...Kali is the one who takes our darkness away. I remember a song Mitra wrote about Shree Maa ... at least I thought it was about Shree Maa, but perhaps it was about Kali. Something like: "She's our Mother; we bring her flowers. We chant Her name for hours and hours. And she takes our darkness away. She takes our darkness away." It is such a beautiful song. So one Chandi question. Is Durga the Grreat Measurement? Thank you ~ Linda
