Guest guest
Sri Dear Members, I had a chance to listen to Jagadanandakaaraka by Satguru Tyagarajar, the naatai raagam is so exquisite and invokes in you a sense of 'feeling powerful' and 'bold'. The listner for once, feels like a Maharaja. I was unable to find more information on the Gambheera Naatai and am hoping some of you could share some information on the same. Regards, Malolan ________ India Answers: Share what you know. Learn something new http://in.answers./

Guest guest
Dear Sangeetha RasikAs : Gambheera Naattai is a janyam of the 36th MeLakarthA : Cahala Naattai . It is usually used by Naathaswara VidhvAn's for PerumAL PuRappAdu like MallAri . You can hear Naathaswara VidhvAn , Naamagiripettai KrishNan's rendering in : www.musicindiaonline.com under the Instrumental section . There is a composition by Mysore Maharaaja ( Jaalantharam) in Gambheera Naattai . There is one more on KaaLinga Narthanam , a TillAnaa to go with the majestic dance steps of Lord who removed the ahankAram of KaaLingan . My sister ( Smt.Padma Veeraraghavan) has composed a krithi dedicated to Sri Oppiliappan , which may be in the web site created by Sri Anil for my sister's krithis : http://www.Thiruppavai.org The details on Naattai Raaga Svaroopam are under the write up on Saint ThyagarAjaa's JagadhAnanthakArakaa in Sadagopan.org . Normally , we do not taske up musical matters at Oppiliappan List unless it is connected to Bhakthi or Oppiliappan .
