Namaste dear all:

 

As some of you already know that I am now in India as a visiting

Fulbright teaching fellow located at the Mysore Univesity, Mysore. I

will be in Mysore for the next six months teaching Econometrics to

the Graduate students. I am temporarily situated at the University

Guesthouse and will likely move to rental apartment soon. I don't

have my own internet access and I am sending this message from an

Internet Cafe. I have been travelling for the past two weeks and I

couldn't get access to Internet all the time. This may explain why

some of the pending messages got a delayed approval. This condition

is likely will continue until I get my broad-band access on my own. I

do request my fellow moderators to step in and take some moderating

responsibilities from time to time. Specifically, I request Sunderji

and Gregji to check for pending messages and members when time

permits.

 

I am happy to report that Univesity of Mysore has a solid Sanskrit

language department with a Ph.D. program. They also have a philosophy

department and I do intent to make full use of these facilities

during my stay. Hopefully, I will get time to contribute and I do

intent to restart the Gita Satsangh after settling down.

I am also back in Chenni and trying slowly to settle - with internet and regual South Indian

coffees - with Swami Paramaarthanandaji talks during weekends.

i am so pleased to know that you have earned the honor of being a

full bright scholar of econometrics at Mysore university! Congrats!

this is a postion every economist covets! i am sure you will have a

wonderful time teaching the finer nnuances of Econometrics to the

indian students !

 

you will be missed ! you should be able to get your owm

laptop- if i were you, i will negotiate for that!
