Guest guest
Om Amriteswari Namah Ammachi, please guide and bless us as we open our hearts to the teaching of the Sri Guru Gita. Divine Mother, stand with us, as we grow in our Selves and as we continue to open our hearts and our minds to your Love and Light. Amma, show us how to share your inspiration and your Love for us with the World. We dedicate our study today to Peace on this Earth, and to healing the hearts of humankind. Guru Gita Study Session 26 Verse 124. The Lord Said: After you experience the Godhead by the Guru’s Grace, all your attachments and desires vanish. You become solitary, tranquil and firmly established (in the Self). Verse 125. Whatever comes to you - whether it be little or much or even nothing, enjoy it with a contented mind and without desire. Verse 126. After attaining what is called the all-knowing state, an embodied soul becomes everything. Being always blissful and tranquil, such a one delights (in his/her own Self) wherever she/he may be. Verse 127. Wherever he/she may dwell, that place becomes Holy. O Goddess! This I have described to you the characteristics of a liberated one. Verse 128. O Goddess! I have instructed you: by following the path shown by the Guru, by devotion to the Guru, and meditation on Her, one attains salvation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Om Lokah samastah sukino bhavantu Lokah samastah sukino bhavantu Lokah samastah sukino bhavantu Om santih, santih, santih Om sri gurubhyo namah hari om ~Om, may all beings in all the worlds be happy. Guest guest
Dear Stacey, Om Namah Shivaya, Thank you so much for bringing the Guru Gita & it's wisdom to us. "Whatever comes to you - whether it be little or much or even nothing, enjoy it with a contented mind and without desire." This concept has presented grwoth challenges for me. The idea of being grateful for everything as the Guru's prasad, really does seem to work well when put into practice. While approaching Amma for darshan, I mentally thanked Her for placing the very people who I felt ostrasized by, on either side of Her. She then gave me an aknowledging smile. For some time I've struggle with my low wage from a non-profit, which offers rich service opportunities. Amma always meets my little families needs, in timely & sometimes uncanny ways. But, I still figure that we should have a certain income, with some security in that. It seems Amma is teaching me to rely on Her, & to surrender. "After attaining what is called the all-knowing state, an embodied soul becomes everything. Being always blissful and tranquil, such a one delights (in his/her own Self) wherever she/he may be." Amma has put both a coworker & I who adore Her, in a workplace that offers lots of chances for being thrown off base emotionally & mentally: by crisis, fighting, under staffed multi-tasking, people targeting others, (including us!), dysfunctional acting clients & staff, or lots of simultaneously needy people, among other things. Lately I've been just beginning to better learn how to go inward in the midst of turmoil, seeking out the cave of bliss. Amma said that She responded to the mistreatment of Her early years, by going more deeply within, rather than becoming depressed. My work sometimes seems like a battle ground on the front lines of mental health & substance abuse. What a golden opportunity for going within & for seva! If anyone wants to work at a homeless shelter in Santa Cruz, my agency has an opening Sweta Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less.
