In my understanding, 5th house from any bhava shows the future of the bhava. But this is specific future. When we use the reference to lagna we see the sumtotal. So 5th bhava from Lagna shows the totality of the future planning of the person and what sits on his chitta and a blockage on the 5th shows (a) what the native wants, doesn't happen (b) the buddhi is misled to want wrong things i.e. future projection is improper. This leads to fear/depression as a consequence. In a Shaapa the lordships of the afflictors or involved grahas bring about the difficulties faced by the native. 2nd house is the accumlated wealth/grains/monetary assets of a person. This house is supported by 5th from it i.e 6th house (labor, service) i.e. how much more you have to work and what will happen if you don't work properly and 10th house accomplishments in career. 6th from the 2nd house is also growth causing in a bit different way (i.e. personal business). For direction 4th house is seen. So for service, 4th from the 6th (i.e. 9th house-boss) determines the direction in which effort/service is done. For Business, 4th from 7th i.e. self accomplishment gives the direction (i.e. maximising profit/accomplishment determines your business strategy). 7th from the 2nd house is 8th house and this shows inheritances (12-th from the 9th). So a person who inherits a lot will not be required to work for money. You must be knowing all this. I am merely reiterating. None other than the ninth house has the same ability according to Parasara. It is a house of Bhagya and particularly the bhagya you personally aspire to get. Usually when the fifth house is afflicted the person is not sure of their goals and how to get them, as a result they loose direction and see many disappointments.
