Dear Nanda,

Thanks for your question.

There are many different options and it will depend on

your sankalpa.

At the Mandir after major pujas there is a

traditional 3 day rest period which is considered part

of the sankalpa and we keep the pot up for 3 days.

Swamiji recommends that if you take a daily sankalpa

to establish a pot that you establish it in the

morning and do visarjan in the evening(take out the

life force.)

Swamiji has taken a sankalpa for 1000 days so he

established a pot on the first day of the sankalpa and

in his puja he does daily manas establishment of the

pot. So he recites all of the mantras and visualizes

all of the offerings as well.

So it will all depend on your sankalpa.

Hope this helps.

Parvati
