In the presence of sun as (the lens) burn (the cotton), as the Brilliant (guru), the filths are destroyed. Notes: 1. Cotton - filth; lens - soul; sun- Lord shiva. Though the lens can burn the cotton, it cannot do so without sunlight! Though the soul can cleanse itself of the filth, it cannot do so without the grace of God. (It also signifies, even with the grace of God, soul has to cleanse its filth, by focusing Its grace.) 2. Ariyan - brilliant.
