Guest guest
Hare Krishna! Dear Devotee community! It has come to my attention that several persons in Vrindavan (This includes our own ISKCON devotees) are trying to copy my own original creation the Soft dolls of Krishna, Radha, Balaram etc. of Gopal Soft Toys and are doing so for comercial purpose. For every ones information, this is an offence punishable by Law! Hrimati dasi has the exlusive Copyright for Gopal Soft Toys!! ########## Under the Berne copyright convention, which almost all major nations have signed, every creative work is copyrighted the moment it is fixed in tangible form. No notice is necessary. No registration is necessary. The copyright lasts until 70 years after the author dies. Today almost all major nations follow the Berne copyright convention. For example, in the USA, almost everything created privately and originally after April 1, 1989 is copyrighted and protected whether it has a notice or not. The default you should assume for other people's works is that they are copyrighted and may not be copied unless you know otherwise. ########## **************************************************************************** What is a Copyright? Copyright is a protection that covers published and unpublished literary, scientific and artistic works, whatever the forms of expression, provided such works are fixed in a tangible or material form. This means that if you can see it, hear it and/or touch it - it may be protected. If it is an essay, if it is a play, if it is a song, if it is a funky original dance move, if it is a photograph, HTML coding or a computer graphic that can be set on paper, recorded on tape or saved to a hard drive, it may be protected. Copyright laws grant the creator the exclusive right to reproduce, prepare derivative works, distribute, perform and display the work publicly. Exclusive means only the creator of such work, not anybody who has access to it and decides to grab it *************************************************************************** In the year 1998 I created and started to manufacture, in a very humble way, a soft cloth Krishna doll for the pleasure of the children of our international devotee community. Later on gradually from this Krishna I developed a whole line of transcendental dolls. Our production is carried out in a cottage industry fashion in Sri Mayapur Dham, a desire especially mentioned by our beloved Spiritual Master Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada. We are now maintaining a staff of 8 dedicated honest devotees, who are fully maintained by us. Gopal Soft Toys supplies dolls now to the international devotee community reaching from America to El Salvador to Europe to New Zealand, Asia and all the way to China and Moscow. We are receiving many, many letters of appreciations. We are using only the best available materials in the market and maintain a very high quality standard. Please do not be fooled by these cheap imitations, which are not only poorly crafted, but are also not child safe! Only dolls, which carry the original "Gopal Soft Toys" label, are made by us. Hare Krishna!
