Guest guest
Hi Everyone ... As the auto-message below indicates, we've finally worked the kinks out of our revised, updated and expanded "Sri Devi Khadgamala Stotram" document, which I put up (and as quickly removed) earlier this month. I'd like to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation to Nora, Kochu, Adwaith, Ganpra, and all other members who rose to the occasion, closely proofreading, reviewing and -- where necessary -- scrubbing all or parts of the document. Thanks also to Msbauju for her well-considered thoughts on making the document more user friendly, and to our new member Willendorfer, who was kind enough to mail along his thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of the KS as a practical document for newcomers. The final product may still not be 100 percent; but I'll bet it's at least 98 percent -- and it's a vast improvement over the old version, complete with an expanded FAQ section, improved "navigability", and two very useful appendices to help maximize your experience. I also have some exciting news on the audio front: For those who have asked for a sharper-quality mp3 recording to learn from, I'm happy to announce that several more versions are coming. Nora (can you believe her?) has commissioned an "official," word-for-word studio recording of Shakti Sadhana's Khadgamala Stotram document by a well-known female Carnatic vocalist, which should begin next month -- more details as they become available. Also Sri Bhasurananda contacted me earlier today to let me know the his recording of our document is almost ready. And finally, I've managed to procure a pretty rare professional recording of the stotram by the renowned South Indian duo the Priya Sisters, which I hope to make available within the next week or two. So no more excuses! Guest guest
No problem, Willendorfer ... ;-) BTW, for anyone who may be interested, the Khadgamala version I posted yesterday was updated overnight (after the act of posting suddenly opened my eyes to a few final, cosmetic items that needed fixing). The file link and file name remain identical to the earlier version; I simply replaced the file with a slightly improved update. I've scanned through it at least twice again since then without further "catches," so either it's pretty good as-is or I've gone editorially blind again. Also, please note that the PDF version posted to SS was "downsized" to Adobe Reader Version 6 standards to reduce the file size a bit. If anyone would prefer the full Version 7 PDF, drop me an e-mail privately and I'll send you the heavier (but higher-resoution, higher-featured) version. ~ aim mAtangyai namaH ~ , "willendorfer" <willendorfer wrote: > > Yay!!!!
