Thanks to Mahahradanatha and Devi Bhakta for your patience with my cheeky questions. I'm

starting to get it. That article, Mahahradanatha, was very interesting; in fact, I see some tie-

ins between this cognitive approach and my professional linguistic research (linguistics is,

after all, a branch of cognitive science), though I can't claim to grasp all the ideas in the

article just yet.

Very strong ties to Linguistics,indeed, after all "tantric" deities

are in their subtlest more abstract manifestation only Letters,

lights and sounds, the human representation being somewhat only a

more naive code for the Letter-Form,at this subtle level their

manifestation apart from being photisms they are conceived, asbeing

of the form and nature of the Letters and Sounds of the Sanskrit

Alphabet, which are a map of the cosmos and the creative sustaining

and dissolving process going on, so they represent and correspond to

the cosmic creative process in Letter form,and also the parts

of "human machine" which is linked and associated with Letters and

words.

These Letters are then inscribed iside and on the body in

the "tantric" Ritual to help divinise and universalize the individual

body.
