Guest guest
hello everyone, I am just 22. I guess at this age every young lady must be excited to take breath to realise she is living. In my case thats really not happening. I am a hardworking, obedient and a thoughtful girl free from any bad habit and have always succeeded in anything I have ever done. I have all ingradients to happiness. What happiness means to my friends is going out for movie, shopping and chatting. I too follow the same track to break from monotony of work but I soon realise this is not what I call happiness. I seem to have lost attraction for life. I am studying in India's topmost design institute. So I would get a good job no doubt. I would get married to a good family. I would live my life persperously. BUT what is so exciting about it? following the same old track like millions of people and dying while fulfilling what life demands. I seem to ponder every moment why am i taking so much trouble to live a life so ever known to all. Life doesnt attract me anymore. I WOULD BE GLAD IF YOU SHARE YOUR OPINION-----may b it will help 1) Why are we actually living ? 2) Why do we always prefer life to death even when our life demands too much pain. 3) What really makes you happy and why? Thanks to everyone. Namaste Find out what India is talking about on - Answers India Send FREE SMS to your friend's mobile from Messenger Version 8. Guest guest
I think we all have times of feeling trapped in the emotions you are expressing. Instead of watching the mind and emotions unattached, we follow them away from the heart. We become identified with feelings that are, well, just feelings. We must try to rise from our attachment to them so that we experience once again God's subtle voice in our hearts. Try to take it easy on yourself. You are young, on the beautiful journey of self discovery, and can not be expected to have the answers to life itself. These questions you ask can never really be understand by the mind. Seek instead in meditation to know God in your heart. If you are not already doing kundalini yoga, I suggest you start. Find a teacher in your area or start one of the many meditations offered on this site. Try it for 40 days and see what happens. May you find the beauty and grace of God within you. Guest guest
Good questions. We live to give--Karma. As the back of a US Marine's shirt says, "Pain is weakness leaving the body." Machoism aside--we live to learn, sometimes these lessons are painful. No--thing makes us happy. Guest guest
Dear Aparajita, I am 43, much older than you, but I can say that I feel the same... You want the true life, not fulfill your time with empty things. It's a very beautiful, but a very solitary way. The true happiness is inside you. I don't know you, but I can feel you as a very special human being. Thank you for living.
