Namaste Beloved Family,

Saturday was Diwali - a celebration of lights! It is a day that we celebrate the return of

Lord Rama to Ayodhya. Traditionally, we light lamps in our houses to welcome the return

of Lord Rama, just as the people in Ayodhya did.

Swamiji led us in the chanting of Sundara Kand - the chapter from the Ramayana which

talks about Hanuman going to Lanka and seeing Mother Sita. The whole temple was

decorated with christmas lights and lots and lots of tea lights everywhere! Swamiji said

that we should all go to Ayodhya - the place of peace. In the Sundara Kand translation

Swamiji explains how this entire story is not a mythology - but happening within each of

us today...

On sunday morning we chanted the Chandi. It is the beginning of the Sanskrit New Year.

After the Chandi led by our beloved Shree Maa, everybody sang "Come, come Mother,

Open our Hearts! Make a Happy New Year"

So beautiful Family, please join in all these celebrations - in your hearts and homes - and

make a happy and peaceful world for all creation! Jai Maa!

ramya :)

Thank you for allowing webcasts - applying the 'modern' technology -

and also opening the Devi Mandir Gates for us to join the Family in

this celebration. This place is Love.
