Guest guest
Paulo, You linked the tropical seasonal zodiac with spring and new birth and new beginnings, which is great but you are only thinking about northern hemisphere. Why? In the southern hemisphere spring begins with tropical Libra zero and not aries! We do not want to offend our australian and south american friends ;-) RR , "paulo mendes" <woodwater1000 wrote: > > Hi > > The sideral zodiac may appear more logical, but remember that Spring equinox is always Aries cause Aries represents new beginnings. In Chinese Astrology February is the start of the year cause the Tiger is their sign of new beginnings.Personally i find western signs more acccurate. Guest guest
Hi What i meant is that Aries being the sign of new beginnings,it should symbolically start in spring equinozx. The same happens in Chinese astrology with Tiger(february). Some people claim that sideral is more scintific but its not. Some signs are larger than others and cover more than 30 degrees, and it seems there is a thirteeth constellation. Furthermore, whee people see a Scorpio, others could see a Rat instead. Guest guest
Hi As for southerm hemisphere, february is still Tiger, new beginnings but not as strong as in northern hemisphere.I dont know wghere western astrologers came across the tropical zodiac but it seems to work better for personality. Guest guest
And what I was saying was that in the southern hemisphere spring starts with Libra! Any astrological symbolism must at least apply to the entire earth, would you not agree? I will not go into claims some may be making of this vs that being scientific. People use the term 'scientific' very loosely and more for the feeling of security it gives to them than what it means. At best astrology is an empirical (observation-based) craft. It has some scientific or logical principles behind it, just as linguistic science or political science has behind those. But that is not a discussion for a superficial medium like internet, so I will not go there any more. You are right about different people seeing others in different ways. Some see a scorpio, others libra, yet others a rat, some simply see a man or woman, others an India or German, or Portugese, some see a hindu others a jew, some see an old man, others a child, and therefore, our worldview is never complete or comprehensive -- just as the labels, scorpio or capricorn or tiger or sheep are not! Agreement? RR , "paulo mendes" <woodwater1000 wrote: > > Hi > > What i meant is that Aries being the sign of new beginnings,it should symbolically start in spring equinozx.
